The Rock Springs Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1897. The club held its first meeting at a cabin on the nearby Flathead River. The club’s first president was Hiram B. Farnsworth, who also served as the club’s first treasurer. In 1902, the Rocky Mountain Trap and Skeet League was organized and the club agreed to join it. In 1907, the Rocky Mountain Rifle Association (RMRA) was formed and the Rock Springs Rifle and Pistol Club became a member. From 1912-1915, Jack Dempsey won four world championships with three of them coming from Rock Springs where he trained at BisbeeGunnersClub under guidance of then RMRA President Alonzo Ladd. In 1925, when Rock Springs joined the National Rifle Association (NRA), the rifle & pistol clubs representing all fifty states were merged into one organization under NRA Chairman Driscoll Goodell’s direction. At that time, NRA Director of Public Information Frankford LaFollette said “Rock Springs is one of our most important centers for training young men in responsible firearm handling so they can become law enforcement officers or other responsible citizens in America … We esteem this place highly because it has furnished such excellent instructors for many years” During World War II, local industry production greatly increased which led to an increase in gun sales throughout Wyoming thanks to military buddies being sent home with firearms confiscated from Axis forces during their retreat northward through Wyoming following Operation Overlord. Consequently, by 1945 there were over 2 million rounds of ammunition stored within rifle ranges across Wyoming alone! It should be noted that due to restrictions placed on ammunition sales by state governments at that time handguns accounted for almost 60% of all handgun purchases statewide! Today both rifle & pistol clubs areCalendar year active with approximately 350 members from around western Colorado and northwestern Wyoming enjoying various shooting activities including trap/ skeet/ deer hunting/ Targa (waterfowl) hunting; whitewater rafting; mountain biking; fishing tournaments; kayaking; hiking; camping etc.; not to mention numerous built-in social events like bingo nights & barbecues during summer months while Wintersession programming features muzzleloading targets & safety clinics on several Sundays each month

The new owners naming their company after Glorietta soon abandoned this operation as well and Rock Springs resumed its role as a modest petting zoo for local farmers until World War II when wartime production diverted attention from mines here to other locations. Rock Springs, Wyoming is a small town located in the Bighorn Mountains of central Wyoming. The population was 1,363 at the 2010 census. The community is named for Colonel George Armstrong Custer, who died in 1847 during the Mexican-American War. Rock Springs was founded by Mormons in 1868 as a religious center for their converts living in what is now eastern Laramie County. The center served as a training ground and headquarters for Mormon Battalion soldiers during the Utah War of 1850-1858. It also served as an exile facility for some of Brigham Young's followers after they were expelled from Utah in 1857. In 1902, Rock Springs became part of the newly organized county of Sheridan and remained that way until it was abolished in 2002. Rock Springs experienced rapid growth following its incorporation into Sheridan County. By 1910, it had become one of the most populous towns in central Wyoming with a population over 2,000 people. Growth continued through World War II until Rock Springs lost its status as an agricultural town and became an industrial city focus upon oil and gas production within miles of its downtown core. However, growth has stalled since then as energy production has petered out and local employment has shifted to other parts of central Wyoming due to increasing competition from neighboring states and Colorado. Despite this stagnation, Rock Springs remains an important cultural hub for residents throughout central Wyoming thanks to its rich history and vibrant culture which features art galleries, theaters, music venues, and yes - even rock concerts!

The town started growing quickly and by 1907 it had a population of about 350 people. The Panic of 1907 led to a decline in business and population, but Rock Springs bounced back in 1909 with the opening of the railroad. Business grew again after World War II when people moving from other parts of Wyoming came to Rock Springs.
