The United States Air Force has been deploying gift history in Evanston, Wyoming since the early 20th century. Evanston, Wyoming is a town in Sheridan County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 2,812 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Great Plains metropolitan area. Evanston is close to major cities such as Lawrence and Niwot in Kansas City, and Cheyenne and Arapaho in Denver. The first post office in Evanston was established on November 15, 1881. The name of the town originates from an early settler named Edwin Evanston who purchased land there for $1 million US dollars in 1899. Evanston became a municipality on December 1, 1907. At that time it consisted of just a few homes and a schoolhouse. Today, Evanston features a mix of suburban housing with some older buildings dating back to its early days. One of the most iconic aspects of Evanston are its three large parks - Western Park (the largest), Lake Park (second largest), and Grove Park (the smallest). These areas have been used for sports events such as soccer games, concerts by popular bands/artists like Yes or Led Zeppelin II., dance parties headlined by DMX or Earth Wind & Fire., family picnics,, dog sledding expeditions down Deer Creek (), skating on Lake Erie during winter months (. . .) etc... There are also several smaller parks dotting the townscape including Throop Woods (. . .) which contains 25 acres ()of forested terrain ideal for skiing; Dearborn Heights (. . .) with 20 acres ()of gardens.; Elmhurst (). In addition to these more traditional uses there are also several dozen businesses located throughout the community that offer services such as construction supplies,. health insurance,. real estate.. etc... In recent years much attention has been paid to art galleries located throughout downtown Evansville which attract both locals and tourists from all over the Midwest and East Coast.. In Spring 2007 local artist Shannon Kapp set up her own gallery called "Shannon's Gallery" adjacent to The Artspace shopping center on Main Street known locally as "The Block". The goal of "Shannon's Gallery" was not only to exhibit new work but also provide opportunities for artists from around Sheridan County to show their work without having it exhibited anywhere else outside their immediate community

Evanston, Wyoming is a town in Laramie County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 2,362 at the 2010 census. Evanston is part of the Great Plains Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Evanston was J.P. Heiderbach in 1877. In 1893, Wm Hurlbut platted what would become Evanston and named it for George Washington Evanster who had come to the area to prospect for gold in 1863. It wasn’t until 1907 that the name “Evanston” became official when it was given to an entire town by then-mayor John Fenton on land that he had purchased from the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad Company. The name stuck and Evanston continued to grow steadily until its peak in 1954 with a population of 6,000 residents. However, due to Interstate 80 construction and other factors over time Evanston's population decreased significantly until reaching 1,813 as of the 2000 census In recent years EvanSTON has seen some revitalization with new businesses opening up and renovated buildings becoming available for rent or sale again! There are also plans underway to add more public space into downtown including a plaza/parking lot that would sit right between Church Street and State Street which would help improve traffic flow while still maintaining an open feel to the area!
