Wisconsin Rapids is a town in Racine County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 9,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee-Waukesha-Elyria Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first gourmet coffee shop was opened in Wisconsin Rapids by Dutch immigrants in 1886. By 1912 there were over twenty coffee shops in the town and it became known as "The Coffee Capital of America". In 1978, Gourmet Coffee Company was founded here by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg and his wife Jane Kornfeldt Kellogg to provide high-quality coffee to area restaurants and businesses. Gourmet Coffee has been selling its coffee products since 1978 and now operates over seventy-five stores across the United States including eleven located in Wisconsin Rapids!

Wisconsin Rapids is a small town in southwestern Wisconsin. The population was 1,636 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Kenosha County, Wisconsin metropolitan area. The first settler in what is now Wisconsin Rapids was Nicholas Knechtel on land granted to him by the Potawatomi nation in 1839. In 1846, David Joplin built a log cabin on the banks of the river where he and his family would live for many years until moving to Racine in 1855. In 1861, when the U.S. Civil War began, General Philip Sheridan ordered all settlers on the east side of the river removed as part of his "All-American Brigade." This order led to much conflict between troops and civilians as people tried to flee or stay put while their homes were destroyed or looted by Union forces. In 1865, Wisconsin Rapids became an incorporated town under state law No. 4362. The first Mayor was George Fenton and later Albert Auerbach served terms from 1875-1887 and 1906-1909 respectively before retiring due to age or health reasons. During World War II, Wisconsin Rapids played an important role as a munitions manufacturing center with its various factories producing everything from artillery ammunition to aviation gasoline engines. After 1945, most production ended but some continued into the early 21st century including being used by Harley Davidson motorcycle company until they moved their plants elsewhere in 2011. Wisconsin Rapids has experienced significant growth over time both within its borders and beyond - becoming one of Kenosha County's largest communities with over 2,000 residents today. One major factor behind this growth has been its location - close to both Kenosha County’s largest city Milwaukee (just 30 minutes away) and other larger towns such as Appleton (25 minutes away), Oshkosh (25 minutes away), Green Bay (35 minutes away), Superior (35 minutes away) and Racine (45 minutes away). Additionally it offers a variety of unique attractions which have helped make it one of Milwaukee’s most popular tourist destinations – including two waterfalls located just outside town limits; Osprey Falls which flows through a parkland setting beneath Interstate 94 near downtown Milwaukee; and Rush Falls located immediately south of town along Route 9 near Mount Auburn Lake. Notably absent from this list are any large shopping malls or resorts - instead there are several small businesses dotted around town that offer eclectic shops and restaurants alongside watersports facilities such as whitewater rafting One thing that has not changed since townshiphood is its focus on community service – many residents continue to contribute their time towards local organizations like food pantries, Habitat for Humanity projects or working with schools providing curriculum materials.

Wisconsin Rapids is a city in and the county seat of Barron County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 97 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago–Naperville–Joliet metropolitan area. The first settler in Wisconsin Rapids was John Slattery who arrived on July 4, 1854. He named his town after his home state of Vermont. The first post office in Wisconsin Rapids opened on October 3, 1855. The first store in Wisconsin Rapids was established by J.F. Cramer and Wm Hurlbuts. The Milwaukee Railroad reached Wisconsin Rapids on December 5, 1858; when that line was extended to Green Bay it became a part of the Milwaukee Road system andWisconsin Rapids became an important junction for both lines. In 1889, the Iowa-owned First National Bank moved to what is now downtown WIraprs from its original location at State Street and Main Avenue northeast of downtownWIraprs; this move made WIrapers one of the few cities in America without a commercial bank at that time! In 1907, construction started on the Milwaukee Bridge which connectedWIraper's east side withMilwaukee; this bridge would later become known as "the Dells". "The Dells" were a series of highrise housing developments built adjacent to Interstate 94 across from downtownWIraper between 1962 and 1967 (the last stand for single family homes). On November 16, 2007 demolition began on two properties near I-94/Milwaukee Avenue SW which will be replaced by new mixed use development called "North Park". This project will include six high rise buildings measuring up to 375 feet (118 meters) tall with over 100 condos/apartments above ground level.; North Park has been announced as one possible name for Phase II development adjacent to I-94/Milwaukee Ave SW
Wisconsin Rapids was founded in 1854 as a small trading post on the Menomonee River. The town grew quickly and by 1860, Wisconsin Rapids had a population of over 100 people. In 1872, the city of Milwaukee was founded near the junction of the Menomonee and Milwaukee Rivers, which made Wisconsin Rapids an important trade and transportation center. In 1907, Wisconsin Rapids became part of the city of Milwaukee.
