After years of growth, the original plantation was sold to a group of Dutch settlers in 1818. Over time, other farms were established on the property and eventually it was bought by a Norwegian settler named Peder Olsen in 1852. Olsen continued to grow and sell Maga coffee until his death in 1898. In 1912, an American company purchased Olsen's estate and began growing Maga coffee under the name Superior Coffee Company. In 1933, the company merged with another American company to form Peet's Coffee Company. In 1984, Peet's Coffee Company was sold to Nestle Purina AG for $3 billion. Today, Superior Coffee is one of Nestle Purina AG's main brands and continues to be grown and sold throughout North America.

Superior, Wisconsin is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 5,574 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Superior is named after General James Fenton, who won an engagement against Native Americans in 1814 and who later became a general in the United States Army. The first Europeans to visit Superior were French missionaries in 1673; they built a trading post on the Fox River near present-day Superior Heights. A mission station was founded by Father Marquette in 1746 on land that now houses the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee campus. The first white settler arrived in 1847 when John Haines moved from Prairie du Chien, Iowa to take up land west of Lake Michigan where he built a cabin and began farming with his brother-in-law Emory Kneeland. In 1855, Captain David Sargent purchased 640 acres (2 km²) east of Superior from Daniel Drake for $10 per acre ($140 per km²). He established Sargent & Company lumberyards which remain one of America's largest employers today. In 1865, Isaac Nourse bought 1/3interest in Sargent & Company from David Sargent for $5 per share (equivalent to $100 million today). Nourse soon became interested in woodworking and founded his own company which had its beginnings as a partnership with two other men – Abraham Lincoln Woodruff and George Wickersham – but eventually became sole proprietor with headquarters at 4th Street and National Avenue NW (now Dearborn Ave.). The company manufactured boards and shingles for buildings until about 1920 when it shifted its focus to manufacturing steel products such as railroad sleepers and gates used on bridges; these products continued until 1957 when it merged into US Steel Corporation (later ArcelorMittal) . Nourse's son Samuel started dyeing cotton clothes for Messrs Julliard & Co., Ltd., manufacturers of jute fabric before World War I; this brought him into contact with Professor Francis Edward Jaggar who taught at Northwestern University during that time. Jaggar advised Samuels not only about how to produce high quality fabrics but also about natural dyes made from plants grown near Chicago that could be used instead of synthetic colors; this connection would later lead to him starting Danforth Textiles Incorporated . In 1925, Edwin Ladd opened Ladd's Hardware Store downtown becoming one of America's earliest department stores In 1933, Appleton Tire & Rubber Co.'s store replaced Ladd's as America's second largest tire retailer With over 350 employees across 9 floors it was bigger than any other chain! They offered repair services on all brands tires including those made by Michelin or Dunlop In 1948 they merged with PirelliUSA creating Bridgestone Corp.. From there they branched out into anti-lock brakesdivision which became Akebono Corporation before finally merging back into Bridgestone Corp.. In 1969 they spun off their leather division into Belstaff Leather Holdings Inc.. In 1984 they spun off their apparel division called Supremewear Limited into Belstaff plc... On July 15th 1990 all divisions were combined again under one name - Bridgestone/Honda
