Artisan Coffee is a coffee company located in Plover, Wisconsin. The company was founded in 2007 by two friends, Aaron and Darlene Kapp. Artisan Coffee is a small-batch roastery that specializes in 100% organic coffee beans.
The Plover family has been in the agriculture business in Wisconsin for over eighty years. The father, John Plover, started the company in 1926 and it still operates today. The family has a wide variety of products including hay, corn, soybeans, and other crops. They also offer feed services and sell poultry and livestock products. John Plover was born in 1911 in what is now Waterloo County, Wisconsin. He became an owner of the company when he was only twenty-one years old. After World War II, he expanded the business to include hay production as well as other agricultural products. In 1977, John PlOVER passed away but his son continue to run the company until his death in 1993. Today, their son Craig PlOVER runs the company with help from his wife Terri and daughter Lisa PlOVER. Plover's hay products are one of the most popular items on grocery store shelves around the country. They are available both fresh and frozen; they come in both Boro Proactive (a high quality protein) and Boro Supreme (the highest quality fiber). Their product is also very affordable; typically a bag of their hay costs about $5 per tonne! They have a wide variety of colors too - from light browns to dark reds - so there's something for everyone! Their corn products are also very popular among consumers nationwide. They come pre-milled or ground into flour form; they can beeither homogenized or husked before purchase. Their corn PRODUCTS are used throughout America to make cereal bars, pancakes etc.; they're also exported to Europe and Asia! Their soybean products are another big hit domestically; typically sold pre-milled or ground into flour form too! Soybean meal is then used as livestock feed across North America - this includes pork, beef cattle, eggs etc., as well as plantains/chickpeas/pods etc... Alloys made from soybeans are often seen on cars inside UAW plants across America... And finally their novelty item: their pet chickens!!! The first coffee beans were roasted in Ethiopia by a man named Gedeon of the Ishaq family in 1896. Back then, coffee was only used for ceremonial purposes and not sold to the general public. The first coffee shops opened up in New York City and Philadelphia in the early 1800s. In 1923, Frenchman Paul Lafontaine introduced what is now considered the modern roast of coffee - a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans.
The Plover community is located in the town of La Crosse, Wisconsin, and it has been around since 1834. The first post office was established in 1837 and the first settler in the area was John Plover. By 1860, there were over a hundred people living in the community. In 1916, when the La Crosse-Hancock County Railroad was built, Plover became part of its system and began to grow. The population increased by 100% between 1920 and 1940. In 1970, when La Crosse-Hancock County merged with Racine County, Plover became a part of that merger as well. Today, it is one of the most significant communities in Racine County. PlOVER history begins with John Plover who settled on what is now known as Farm Road 7 near present day La Crosse on November 5th, 1834. At that time this area only had four settlements: Hennepin (now Minneapolis), Winona (now Winnebago), Two Rivers (now Dubuque) and Prairie du Chien (now Crystal Lake). It was not until after American Independence that settlers started arriving to this area; however many took up land grants given to them by their governments because they saw an opportunity for farming hereabouts. In 1861 John Plover sold his farmstead for $3 to Julius Davenport who then subdivided it into lots for sale within two years of purchase totaling 166 acres which created much interest from potential buyers throughout central Wisconsin due to its great location at what would become known as Crossroads Crossing on Highway 3/5 just east of downtown La Crosse proper! This location offered excellent views across Cook Bayou towards Duluth while still being able to access most of rural central Wisconsin by wagon or horseback! As development grew around Crossroads Crossing more farmers moved into the area including Augustus Kapp who acquired 640 acres south of where today’s Keystone Drive sits; he named his property “Plover” after General James Wilkinson’s headquarters during America’s Civil War fought along US-Canada border at Fort Garry outside Winnipeg! With Kapp’s holdings came plowing services needed for planting crops so early winter seeds could germinate and new businesses sprang up such as a blacksmith shop run by Elias Kaufmann which produced horseshoes for local merchants – soon followed by a bakery likely Runnymede Bakery Co., Incorporated October 9th 1895! A post office called Plainfield opened February 1st 1865 under management / control of George Kapp with mail passing through New Berlin prior! By 1870 there were over 150 residents living in Plainfield Township but growth continued apace with incorporation occurring later that year of Three Bridges Township adjacent northwest corner containing current day Menasha Village including farms dating back to 1835 & 1840!!homebuilders included Wm Fenton Sept 6th 1870 he donated 60 acres NW corner 3rd St & Menasha Ave
The Plover family came to Wisconsin in 1836. The first Plover children were born in what is now Rural Lake County, Wisconsin. In 1840, the family moved to the town of Menomonee Falls and started a small farm. By 1850, they had four children and a large farm with animals. The Plovers became prosperous and bought land around Menomonee Falls. In 1863, they donated their farm land to the government for use as a training ground for soldiers in World War II. After the war ended, they sold their property and moved away from Menomonee Falls.
