In 1926, Mr. and Mrs. John Gaultier founded the Mount Pleasant Coffee Company, which became one of the largest roasters in the United States. The Gaultiers continued to roast their own coffee until their death in 2002. The first Starbucks was opened in 1974 on Patton Avenue in Mount Pleasant by Roy Kroc and his wife Nora. As Starbucks grew, so did its demand for fresh roasted coffee from local roasters like MtPleasant Coffee Company and Four Barrel Coffee Roasters. Today, there are over 20 Starbucks locations across America with over 2 million cups of brewed coffee consumed each day! Mount Pleasant is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the Racine County metropolitan area. The population was 2,564 at the 2010 census. Mount Pleasant is home to Northwestern Wisconsin Technical College and Mount Pleasant-Waukesha Regional Library System. The first settlers to what is now Mount Pleasant were German immigrants who began arriving in 1834. They named their town after their farmstead on the east bank of the Kawkawanna River, which they had seen from a distance while trading with Native Americans. The town was incorporated as a village in 1856, and became a city when it joined Racine County in 1901. In 1912, Mount Pleasant adopted its current name, honoring General David Dixon Morton who served as military governor of Minnesota during the American Civil War and later served as US Minister to Russia before retiring to Mount Pleasant in 1863. In 1923, Morton donated land for Northwestern Wisconsin Technical College which opened its doors that year in memory of his late wife Sarah Erskine Morton (1814-1910). The college has since grown into one of North America's leading technological universities with campuses throughout North America and Europe. The city has undergone many growth trends over time; it annexed neighboring townships (Fremont and Waterloo) between 1910-15 and 1960-65; annexed Waukesha Township between 1966-68; merged with Milwaukee County on April 1, 1998; and then successfully lobbied for annexation by Green Bay – again resulting in growth within city boundaries – making it one ofWisconsin's most populous cities by 2010 even as its population plummeted by almost 50% since 2000 due to suburbanization within its borders! Today, Mountpleasant’s skyline stretches all the way to Byron Center across Lake Michigan – an impressive feat considering that only about half of downtown Racine remains standing today!

Mount Pleasant is a small town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is located in the town of Black Lake, about 20 miles east of Milwaukee and 50 miles west of Madison. The population was 1,628 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settler in Mount Pleasant was George Stephenson, who arrived in 1792 and built a cabin on the present day site of Mount Pleasant. The first school in Mount Pleasant was founded in 1814 by Mrs. Elizabeth Whitehead and Mr. John Ladd from Milwaukee with help from Amos Kendall, one of the early settlers in that part of the state. A post office called Mount Pleasant was established at this location on January 12, 1847, and remained In operation until it was discontinued on December 6, 1903. A Methodist Church was also erected here about this time; but its use has been varied since then; it now stands as a handsome white Cottage-like structure nearthe cornerof Fourth Street and Main Street." In 1901—the same year that Mtpleasant voted to become an incorporated village—it had a population of 2200 residents living 141 buildings totaling 307 feet (100 m) square combined with land valued at $872 ($ million today). That same year, however, blacksmith shop operator Wm Kapp moved his business to what is now West Allis after being denied maintenance funds for his shop by the village board because he could not show proof that he had boarded up his building during prohibition years when alcohol wasn't allowed within reach by most people outside Milwaukee proper.)
