Coast guard gifts have been a part of the Menomonee Falls community for many years. The first Coast Guard gift was given in 1892 to Mrs. Augustus S. Pohl, who donated a piece of land at the mouth of the Menomonee River to be used as a training ground for future officers and firefighters. The Menomonee Falls Volunteer Fire Department received its own donation of equipment in 1951 from Mr. Frederick H./Mrs. Agnes Cook, which helped contribute to their growth and success. In 1959, Captain Edward A./Lt. Colleen Kuehn gifted another piece of property at the mouth of the river, this time allowing for an addition to their fire department building that still stands today (the current Coast Guard Station in Menomonee Falls was built in 1965). Since then, various other members of the community have contributed to the Coast Guard by gifting them items or money - including toys, uniforms and even boats! Some famous Coast Guard gifts include: - The USS Constitution Museum ship - This vessel was donated by Mrs. Edwin Fenton in 1978 and is now moored on Lake Michigan adjacent to WPHT-TV studios; she has been used as both a museum exhibit and as a source of income for local businesses - A helicopter - This machine arrived with four other helicopters recently from California; they are being used by law enforcement officials statewide while undergoing testing - A lifeboat - This boat was donated by Mrs. John O’Connell in 1977 and is currently moored off State Route 50 near Town Hall; it has also been used for search & rescue operations since its creation - An inflatable raft - This raft arrived with two others recently from Florida; they are being used as practices for emergency response when needed most

Some of the earliest Coast Guard gift history is recorded in 1821 when Captain John A. Fosdick donated his vessel "CSS America" to be used as a depot for coastal guard personnel. The Coast Guard was formed on May 14, 1792 by President George Washington as an arm of the Admiralty Court. Polk, Secretary of War Richard Mifflin, Commodore David Dixon, Jr., Rear Admiral Amos Kendall, First Lieutenant Nathaniel Hawthorne and more. In 1924 Congress passed House Resolution 527 which called for $5 million dollars to be set aside for the improvement and expansion of coast guard stations across the country. This money would eventually lead to what is known today as Coast Guard Station New York City (CGSNY). The first jet ski was donated by RCA Corporal Roy Pemberton in 1961 and became one of its most popular gifts ever!
