Schrader passed the weapon on to his son, who also owned it until he died in 1990. In 1992, Ralph Jahnke purchased a rifle from John Davenport’s grandson, David Paddock. The rifle is still being used today and is one of only two guns remaining in existence that were originally given to Menasha residents as gifts.

Menasha, Wisconsin is a town located in Door County, Wisconsin. The population was 5,912 at the 2000 census. It is most commonly known as the home of Sears and Roebuck. Menasha was founded by John Fritchie in 1854 as a small farming community on the Menasha River. The first post office was established in 1855. In 1870, Menasha became the county seat of Door County and still remains so today. The men who built Menasha were some of the original settlers in what is now Door County. John Fritchie arrived there in 1854 from Illinois with his family and began to farmados (water-farming) land along the Menasha River. By 1865, he had purchased 4,000 acres (16 km²) of land south of present-day Menasha for $4 per acre ($27 at that time). With these new holdings came new opportunities for agriculture and commerce. By 1870, Menasha had a flour mill, two banks and a sawmill among its businesses. In 1876, JF Cement Company was formed with local investors to develop an artificial reef near modern day Menasha which would serve as a source of fresh water for industrial users within reach of Chicago's Des Plaines River system (now part of I-94). This development led to increased economic activity around town and helped support expanding facilities such as Sears & Roebuck until World War II when they closed their doors due to wartime production constraints. Today much of what once made up Sears & Roebuck's downtown skyline can be found just north of Interstate 94; this included their store building which still stands today as one of the most distinctive landmarks in town during its heyday (1930s through 1960s). Uptown Development Corporation also developed many other stores throughout downtown after it took over management from Sears during that time period including Hennig’s Department Store which reopened in 1970 after years being closed due to fire damage caused by wind turbines held up against storefront windows decades earlier! ANotch Chevrolet also operated out front until it moved into its current location across I-94 eastbound about 3 miles east past Ross Drugstore back then known as Big Muddy Chevrolet before moving into its current space next door back then called Crosstown Tire
