Marshfield, Wisconsin is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and the seat of Marathon County. The population was 8,569 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha–HDB Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first coffee beans were grown in Marshfield in 1845 by John Stevens and his father-in-law Asahel Smith. Coffee was soon being traded for goods throughout western Wisconsin, and coffee plantations were established on both sides of the Rhine River in what is now Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium. By 1847, there were over 25 coffee plantations located in present-day Marshfield and Marathon Counties. In 1865, Dutchman Cornelius Van den Berg began growing coffee on a plot near present day Wausau that became known as Van Den Berg's Grove. The town became a village on January 1, 1907. The first gas station was built here in 1922. In 1940, John Derry founded Derry's Coffee House & Market which remains a prominent business fixture today. Over time, other businesses have joined Derry's including Gambrinus Brewing Company (1995-2001), Blue Moon Brewery (2002-present) and many more since then! Marshfield is a town in Green Bay County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,693 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live in Marshfield were the Menominee and Chippewa Indians. They built their first log cabin in 1792. The first post office was established in 1856, and the town name was changed to Marshfield in 1881. In 1907, a sawmill was built on the north side of town and started producing logs for lumber companies all over Wisconsin. The mill closed down in 1957 but left behind a large industrial complex that still exists today including three warehouses, two restaurants, four businesses parks with a total of 50 acres (20 hectares), and twelve homes. Today, Marshfield is an agricultural community with many small-scale manufacturers and services located around its downtown core. The town also has a couple high-end hotels as well as several thousand dollars worth of retail space within easy walking distance of most residents' homes. One common feature throughout much of rural America are barbecues which often take place right outside residents' doors during summertime!

At this point, some of the most prestigious cafes around the world were beginning to import European roasted coffees such as La Caja del Cafe in Madrid or Rang Mahal in London respectively). American roasters quickly realized how valuable this type of caffeine was for bringing people together during wartime times when everyone wanted a cup of Joe rather than just any old cup of java! Coffee beans were first grown in Africa, and early European settlers brought Capsicum berries with them when they came to America. The first coffee houses in North America were built by Dutch traders in the 16th century. In 1795, a group of Frenchmen founded La Compagnie des Indes Orientales (The Company of Indies) in order to trade goods with Asia. The company became very successful, and its founder, Pierre-Simon La Salle, was able to build one of the largest empires in world history. In 1825, La Salle started trading coffee from Java to New York City. By 1830, he had moved his business upriver to Philadelphia. By 1838, he had founded what is now Starbucks Coffee Corporation.
Marshfield, Wisconsin is a small town located in the eastern part of the state of Wisconsin. The population was 9,665 at the 2010 census. Marshfield is one of the most significant towns in central Wisconsin and has played an important role in its history. The area that now includes Marshfield was first settled by people from Massachusetts in 1792. In 1848, Dr. George Wickersham donated land to form what would become Marshfield Township. The township grew rapidly and by 1872 it had a population of over 1,000 people. By 1907, the population had reached 2,500 people and by 1950 it had grown to 5,000 people. In 1968, Marshfield became a city and has since grown even more rapidly; in 2000 it had 8,521 residents. The early settlers were hardworking men and women who came to work on various farms near present-day Marshfield because there were no other opportunities for them in that part of Wisconsin at that time. Many of these families remain active today as farmers or ranchers. One such family is the Lunsford family who have been farming here for over 150 years! Today’s residents are proud to have helped shape this community into what it is today – a great place to live, work, raise children and enjoy life outdoors!
Marshfield was founded in 1836 by John Marsh and his wife Susannah. The town originally consisted of just a few homes and a store. By 1840, the population had grown to twenty-five people. In 1847, the first schools were built in Marshfield and the town began to develop as a commercial center. The first post office was established in Marshfield in 1849. In 1860, the Union Pacific Railroad arrived in Marshfield and quickly transformed the town into an important transportation hub. By 1865, Marshfield had become one of Wisconsin's largest cities. The city continued to grow until it reached its current size by 1900. During World War II, the city was especially active in providing military supplies and services to troops stationed throughout Wisconsin.
