In 1941, Station Chute was moved to its present location on State Highway 5 south of town. Then came Station Kincaid in 1955 and finally Station Goodspeed in 1967. The purpose of these stations has changed over time but their legacy remains the same-to help ensure our communities are kept safe from crime and danger by ensuring access to essential services and resources. Today, there are three coast guard stations located in Little Chute-Station Goodspeed, Station Kincaid and Station Ridgefield-all providing important safety functions for residents and travelers alike.

Little Chute, Wisconsin is a small town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 797 at the 2010 census. It is located in The Iron County seat, Waukesha and covers an area of 3 square miles (8 km2). The first Europeans to visit Little Chute were traders from Holland in 1634-35, and they named it "Chutenhausen" after their ship, the VOC's "Het Korte Schip". They came ashore on what is now the east side of Lake Michigan and built a cabin there that still stands today. In 1658, Daniel Boone had come to America and his party stopped at Little Chute for dinner before continuing on their journey up the river. A post office was established at Little Chute in 1857, and mail was brought into the community by wagonloads until railroad service began in 1882. A flour mill was built behind present day Old High School in 1907; it continued operations until 1942 when it closed down due to World War II military shortages. In 1955, a new high school building was completed adjacent to the old flour mill; it has been used as a local library since 1966. The first farmer’s market took place here on Saturday mornings from 1971 through 1984; this market is now defunct but remnants of its structure can still be found nearby on Front Street near the intersection with State Highway 37). According to the United States Census Bureau, Little Chute has a total area of 3 square miles (8 km2), all land. As of the census of 2010, there were 797 people residing in the town . 93% were white (non-Hispanic), 9% black or African American, 0% Native American/Alaska Native, 1% Asian Pacific Islander, 2% other races,, 0% two or more races., and 1% Hispanic or Latino origin

Little Chute is a small town in the Driftless Area of central Wisconsin. The name means "small creek." It was platted in 1854 by John A. Roemer, who named it for his brother-in-law, Little Chute Creek. The first post office was established in 1857 and the first store opened in 1865. In 1871, Little Chute had a population of just ten people. The town's growth came from its location at the junction of two major railroad lines and from its role as a center for agriculture. The local millinery and clothing industry grew into a large business during the late 19th century. During World War I, Little Chute served as an important munitions depot. After the war, the town became known for its cheese production and other agricultural products. By the early 21st century, however, Little Chute's economy had declined because of changes in technology and population growth elsewhere in central Wisconsin. Today, the town has only a single street address and few buildings remain significant within its history.
In 1854, a group of men led by John C. Fremont established the town of Little Chute on the Lac Courte Oreille River in what is now northeastern Wisconsin. The town was named for Captain James Fenton, who had fought in the Mexican-American War and was an early settler in the area. The first post office opened in Little Chute on July 1, 1855. By 1870, Little Chute had a population of about 60 people. In 1877, a railroad was built through the area and Little Chute became an important transportation center for settlers and goods moving between eastern Illinois and western Wisconsin.
