Over the years, Little Chute has been a vital part of the United States Air Force. The town's location and proximity to Milwaukee made it an important military center during World War II. And even as recently as the Vietnam War, Little Chute was home to some of America's most famous airmen. Today, Little Chute is one of the most active communities in the USAF. Its citizens are proud of their role in American society and its contributions to national security. In honor of this history, we want to share some brief glimpses intoAirforce gift history in Little Chute. Little Chute was once a bustling agricultural community that relied on agriculture for its livelihoods and for many residents their only means of support. However, over time, air force installations have become an important part of local life. The first USAF installation in Little Chute was a remote outpost called Camp Edwards located about 1 mile northeast of town on winding roads carved out by glaciers during the last ice age. Camp Edwards served as a training ground for pilots during World War II before becoming an armory and later being used as an RAF base during the Cold War era (1946-1991). In 1951, when Eisenhower took office as president, he ordered that all USAF bases be closed except those near Washington D.C.. Accordingly, Camp Edwards became inactive and was converted into an Officer Candidate School (OCS) facility known locally simply as "Camp Edwards." After Camp Edwards closedancy in 1991 there were no more USAF installations anywhere within reach ofLittle Chutesouthwestward population growth led to increased demand for housing so barracks began to be built at nearby Oak Creek Airport which opened in 1984 just north of town on land leased from Great Lakes Airlines until it discontinued operations in 1990.. In addition numerous businesses were established aroundthe airport such as Allied Aviation Services which provides aircraft maintenance services; Northwest Airlines which operated major hub airports throughout North America from LittleChute until its closure in 2001; Green Producers Inc., whose produce can be found fresh or frozen at many local grocery stores throughout central Wisconsin; several restaurants including The Grapesucker Cafe open their doors year-round serving up fresh fruit from local growers;; US Airways Express - one stop shopping for airline tickets online or at one of several locations across the state;Finally there is annual parade through downtown followed by concerts at local venues throughout late summer/early fall

The Little Chute Air National Guard Unit No. 214 donated a C-17 Globemaster III cargo plane to the Wisconsin Air National Guard in December of 2013. The plane was originally assigned to the 341st Airlift Wing at Milwaukee–Waukesha County International Airport and flew national security missions out of Little Chute, WI.
Little Chute, Wisconsin is a small town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. It is located in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The community was founded in 1855 by George and Sarah Ann Little as a result of the construction of the Milwaukee & Western Railroad through that area. The original name for the town was "Lincoln". In 1903, when it became a city, it changed its name to Little Chute after Mayor John A. Little's hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. Little Chute is home to many local businesses including LITTLE CHUTE AUTO PARTS and SERVICE, which specializes in repairing and servicing vehicles; JACK TOWNSHIP CLUB which provides social activities for residents; and FARMINGTON FARMS which operates three dairy farms producing hay, cheese and other livestock products. The community also has a large park with numerous fields for sport and recreation such as an all-time records set track (the 7200-meter race track) as well as two golf courses: one designed by Paul Revere and his son Alan Revere; and another built by Rear Admiral James Wainwright during World War II with proceeds from sales going towards funding veteran war efforts
The United States Air Force is one of the most powerful militaries in the world. It has a diversified arsenal of weapons and equipment, including fighter planes, bombers, missiles, and submarines. The USAF was founded in 1947 as part of the United States Army. In 1955, it was redesignated as the USAF and became an all-volunteer military organization. The USAF is headquartered at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. In 1994, the President Bill Clinton presented a gift to the USAF worth $1 billion. This gift was called Project Maven and was designed to improve air traffic control within Afghanistan by developing a new computer system that would track airplanes and take necessary action when they violated airspace restrictions. The project cost $5 billion dollars and was completed in 2009. Additionally, in 2006, General Accounting Office released a report that stated that air force spending on research and development had grown significantly over the past decade despite limited results achieved from these investments. This trend appears to be continuing as recent reports have shown that Air Force spending on weapons systems has increased by an average of 5% each year since 2007
On November 12, 2017 the USAF announced the awarding of two gifts totaling $1.4 million to Colorado-based companies for their contributions to the Air Force and its members. The gifts were in recognition of both entities' 50th anniversary seasons. The first gift was a $1.4 million contract to purchase more than 1,000 new computers for use by airmen and their families at Lackland AFB in Texas. The second was a $250,000 grant to help refurbish an aircraft hangar at Eglin AFB in Florida. These two contracts are just one example of how USAF donations have helped support airmen and their families across the country.
Little Chute, Wisconsin is a town in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,834 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Little Chute was platted in 1873 by US Post Office Department employees on land near what is now the city of Sheboygan. The name "Chute" means "a small ravine." The first post office in Little Chute was established on December 15, 1873. When it opened, it had a population of just six people. By 1880, there were thirty-six residents and the post office served an area that included present-day Sheboygan and Waukesha counties as well as Racine and Kenosha counties. In 1902, the community formed its own school board with twenty members. That same year saw the incorporation of what are now three businesses: a grocery store/ bakery called Hometown Store; a flour mill with twelve workers; and a blacksmith shop/shopify called Empire Shoe Company. The first town meeting took place on April 16, 1904 to discuss issues such as public works projects and electric power generation from local trolley lines. On October 6th of that year, voters authorized the erection of a new courthouse which would serve as the town's seat until 1914 when a new building was erected closer to Main Street for use by court officials and other municipal functions. A water tower also appeared soon after on property south of Main Street which served both as an indoor swimming pool for high school students during summer months (the first municipally owned pool in America)and also functioned as runoff system for farm irrigation purposes until 1956 when all surface water supplies were finally diverted away from Little Chutes watershed due to increased development pressures within that specific municipality In 1924 Big Spring Dam burst resulting in extensive flooding across much of northwestern Wisconsin including most notably parts of Little Chute where over one hundred homes were destroyed or damaged beyond repair As more people moved into towns along Lake Michigan they began developing lakefront properties giving rise to name like Waterlily Drive (later renamed Harbor Point), Sunrise Boulevard (later renamed Jackson Boulevard), still unnamed Two Rivers Parkway today named after then future Governor Scott Walker’s wife –———————————————————- Market Garden subdivision located east side off Wabash River between White Marsh Road & State Highway 31
Little Chute was founded in 1847 as a farmstead on the now-defunct Pabst River. The town, which is located in southern Wisconsin, grew up around the post office and stores that were built there. In 1907, Little Chute became a city.
