However, recent revitalization has begun to change that and Hartford is now one of the most vibrant communities inWI. The community is home to more than 70 businesses and over 100 residents who are active in their community. The downtown area is a lively mix of artsy boutiques, trendy restaurants, and professional offices. There are also several high-quality parks located within walking distance of the city center. The history of Hartford starts with its founding as a village in 1857. At that time it was part of Racine County and had about 60 residents. In 1871, it became a town after becoming an independent municipality under the provisions of state law that applied only to towns with a population greater than 10,000 people at any given time. The first mayor was John Aylward and the first clerk was Moses Sargent. In 1907, Hartford annexed what is now Watertown which made it even larger as an incorporated town with over 120 residents! This annexation led to some interesting changes forHartford as well as Watertown – both communities were now considered separate municipalities with their own governing bodies! That same year saw the opening of what is today known as City Hall on Main Street – this building still stands today (though not used anymore) and serves as one of Hartford’s primary municipal buildings today! In 1932, following World War II when Milwaukee experienced dramatic growth due to its military connections, many Wisconsinites decided they should too – so Hartford followed suit soon thereafter! Not long after that however, things started happening “outside” milwaukee which has influenced how much has happened inside Milwaukee though: during this time there were large influxes into HartfordschoolDistrict fromMilwaukee through various means such as family migration or philanthropy; these events have helped shape bothHartford’s culture (and economy) while also creating new social norms within Milwaukee itself [1].
