Greendale is a village in the town of Greendale, Wisconsin, United States. It is located on the shore of the Menominee River. The population was 1,884 at the 2010 census. Greendale is part of the Menominee County, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village was founded in 1838 by John Henniker and his wife Hannah. The Village Green was built in 1840 and enlarged in 1851 to its current size by purchase of land from Amos Wright and others. In 1896, Greendale had a post office with ZIP code 53922. On July 8, 1907, Greendale incorporated as a village under the name of "Nanticoke." On July 1, 1912, Nanticoke becamegreendale when it merged with neighboring town of East Troy to form a new municipality called "Greendale". According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of , all land. As of the census of 2010, there were 1,884 people residing in the village limits. Of those 1,883 (99%) were white bread residents and 100% black or African American residents according to Census data collection methods; no other ethnicity was reported for any part or all of this population group during that period despite requests made through numerous surveys conducted over time throughout our community by various organizations desiring detailed information on resident complexion (i.e., race). This isn’t simply due to demographics which are constantly changing but also because historically these numbers have not shown up on maps/statistics released by our government since they purport to represent “the entire population” without taking into account social dynamics which can change an individual’s makeup based on their interactions within their community both inside and outside thereof…A map depicting what our community looked like prior to annexation should be created soon as it would accurately reflect our current situation as well as provide transparency for those who are seekingINFO about how we maintain law & order within our community while accommodating everyone regardless skin color regardless attire etc...Many individuals feel that they know more about their personal surroundings than what is being published or shown on “official” sources including government agencies such as censuses/maps which often show only surface level information about one specific geographic area instead portraying an inaccurate picture overall because demographic changes take place over time even though official boundaries may remain unchanged! Greendale, Wisconsin is a small town located in the town of West Allis, Wisconsin on the edge of the University of Wisconsin campus. The population was 8,987 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Greendale is one of only a few towns inWI that has never been annexed by Milwaukee. The first permanent settler in Greendale was John Goldston who arrived in 1836. Goldston and his family built their log cabin on what is now US Highway 7 near present day Baldwin Park. The Golisons were followed by other early settlers including Isaac Bicknell who came around 1850 and erected a small farmstead near what is now Greendale High School. George Fenton settled around 1858 and built a house on land that still stands today along present day Hwy 629 east of Greendale Middle School. In 1868, Jno Cramer opened Cramer's Store which was later known as Waukesha County Bank & Trust Company between downtown Waukesha and north village (now De Pere). In 1888, Hyrum Brown began farming here with his brother-in-law James Stephenson; they named their farm "Greendale" afterHyrum's home state of Illinois. A post office called Greendale was established in 1865 but closed due to lack of mail service from nearbyMilwaukee so it became known as "Waukesha". This name change may have been influenced by then-new railroad Topeka&Arroyo owner/operator James Stephenson's desire for his business to be locally known as "Greensboro" (Topeka) while he operated trains between Chicago and Arroyo Junction (now Waukesha). At some point during this time period, Stephenson also acquired title to all or part of what are now Clinton Street, West Allis Road and Sixteenth Street NW., making Greendale one incorporated community within two adjacent townships – an unusual occurrence at that time.. Many residents here continued to use their original names until about 1920 when all businesses were rename to reflect local products or services: Greenfield Grocery store became Greenfield Dairy store; Woolworths store became Woolworths grocery; old First National bank building became First National bank & Trust company; etcetera . . . Thereafter, most residents changed their surnames permanently upon becoming citizens or residents thereof according to Almanac Minnesota 2007 data [1]. In 1925/26 Walter Kapp founded Kapp's Department Store which remains open today as Kapp's Jewelry store next door across from Holland Elementary School across from Fischer Bros.(now HDB), Inc.'s property line - one block south of current days Wisconn Valley Shopping Center across from Prairie View A&M University across from IMAX theater - one block west of current days Union Pacific Railroad tracks just south side street frontage on Village lot between UW main Campus entrance ramp & riverfront walkway
