Gun gift history in Grafton, Wisconsin began with the purchase of a shotgun from George and Jennie Rose on November 12, 1903. The shotgun was the first firearm ever purchased by Grafton residents. It would be another seventy-four years before anyone else bought a gun in the town. The shotguns that were purchased in 1903 were all sporting rifles. By 1920, when guns were no longer restricted by state law, Grafton had begun to import handguns into the town. This change was due to the fact that many people felt that handguns would not be as effective as shotguns at hunting deer or other game. From 1923 until 1934, Grafton’s only store sold firearms only through licensed dealers. This policy was changed due to increasing demand for handguns in the town because of prohibition laws on alcohol. In 1937, Grafton became one of thirteen towns in Wisconsin that repealed their prohibition laws and adopted an open-carry law for citizens over twenty-one years of age. This change was made so that individuals could carry firearms openly without fear of being arrested or having their weapon confiscated by police officers. Since then,Grafton has continued to grow and change as it becomes more industrialized and populated center within central Wisconsin. Today,Grafton is home to some of the most rigorous gun safety regulations in central Wisconsin; including a concealed handgun permit program which allows residents to carry weapons without fear of getting caught up in criminal activity while carrying a firearm on campus or inside any business premises

Grafton, Wisconsin is a small town located in the La Crosse County area of Wisconsin. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. Grafton is part of the La Crosse-Eau Claire Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European settlers to Grafton were Frenchmen who arrived in 1792. The name Grafton is derived from "grâce" meaning "thanks". In 1846, the United States purchased land for $1,000 from the Canadian government and founded Fort Snelling as a military post. In 1854, Grafton was incorporated as a village. In 1909, railroad construction began and soon there was traffic through Grafton on both local and Chicago-bound trains. By 1912, most residents had abandoned their villages form because of economic reasons such as advances in transportation and NorthwesternWisconsin's agricultural production which made it an ideal place to raise cattle and grow hay for export to Chicago or other cities. The late 1800s also saw a significant increase in industrial activity with many businesses established here including: JBS meatpacking company; Armour Metalurgical Company; Standard Oil Company (later Exxon); Wabash Coal Miners' Association; Wabash Rubber Works; Crystal Safety Glass Corporation; Illinois Telephone Company (Indiana Bell) among others In 1956, Grafton became home to one of America's first light industry plants when Eastern Electric started manufacturing radios in nearby Menomonie. That same year saw another big development when Milwaukee television station KMOV converted its facilities into an NBC affiliate . One hundred years later Eastman Kodak announced that it would be moving its headquarters from Rochester NY to Grafton ..... finally giving our little town some much needed business injected life once again!

Grafton is a town in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,451 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from theunitedstatespresidentialprimaryin2008. Grafton is located on the southern border of Ozaukee County and about northwest of Milwaukee. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The first settler in Grafton was John Dibble in 1836. In 1850, Isaac Prentice built a log cabin on a hill near present-day Grafton High School. By 1851, many settlers had arrived in what is now Ozaukee County and started to build homes around Dibble's cabin. By 1853, Grafton had a post office and three stores. That year also saw the beginning of what would be known as the Great Western Railroad through central Wisconsin (the line ran through present-day Winterset and Waukesha counties). This railroad allowed more people to come into Grafton and start businesses. Over time, other businesses were opened including two churches (one Baptist and one Methodist) which helped shape Grafton's later culture as a religious town." In 1861, when war began between America's two main nations, many residents decided to stay away from combat because they didn't want to see their friends or family killed or maimed fighting for either side. Many may have chosen not to fight based on this personal decision but it did influence how Grafton developed over time - most notably its separation from Milwaukee during World War II."

A post office was established in Grafton on December 2, 1847. In 1865, the town became a city and was renamed Grafton city Limits in 1968.
