The USS Constitution was deployed to Spanish-American War and during this time, Commander John F. Kennedy gave a gift to Admiral Harold P. Browning which is still used today on board the USS Constitution Museum at Naval Base Milwaukee. On July 5th, 1907, President Theodore Roosevelt sent his yacht " lunatic" ( flagship of Squadron One) and destroyer "Aurora" (destroyer No. 6) on a goodwill cruise through the Mediterranean Sea as part of Operation Crossroads. While onboard " Lunatic", Roosevelt presented Rear Admiral Edward Doherty with a torpedo boat called HMS Manchester (No. 1), submarine HMS Dolphin (No 2), and tugboat SS Tacoma for service during World War I. This was also the first time that American warships had been present in European waters since World War I started! In 1926, Vice Admiral Arthur JORDAN giftedUSS Astoria( flagship of Squadron Two) to Fleet Air Arm Command at RAF Lakenheath Airfield England as a training ship for their new Boeing 247 fighter aircraft carrier airplanes! On October 9th 1937 USS Wasp( flagship of Squadron Three) departed from Hampton Roads Virginia bound for Auckland New Zealand with 435 USAAF personnel embarked as part of Operation Torch!. During this operation, it was reported that Wasp became one of the most damaged ships ever lost in combat when her engines failed while transiting off Cape St Vincent!! The USS Constitution Museum launched its Dry Dock Conversion Project in 1961 which provided space for Gallery #2 on deck 3C inside what is now known as The Pentagon Annex!!! On May 14th 1967 USS Constitution Museum Director Drs Johns and Knoppers donated three vintage WWI submarines – SS Empire MineCraft No 729, SS Scrappyfish No 810 and SS Scorpion fishboats No 905 & 1025 - along with four small boats - PT Boat no 268 & 269; Lifeboat “O’Neill”; and Motor Launch “Pioneer” to be stored pending donation by another museum group!!!! It was announced that these five boats would become Exhibit A within Gallery #2!!! In 1978 via Agreement between Mrs Harry Barnes Foundation Incorporated., Ms Betty Woodruff donating an additional two WWI submarines – SS Snooker Girl No 920&921; MotorLaunch M/V Arrowhead; plus assorted artifacts from various collections including Captain Smith’s Logbooks & other associated naval memorabilia granting this donation final status as National Historic Landmark!!!!! On December 12th 1978 “Constitution MuseumShipwreckRecordsSailingDate1898-1918″was delivered by Propeller Ship Salvage Incorporated from wreckage off Cape Hatteras NC!!!!! This marked not only the first documented sailing date for any warship sunk during WWII but also significant evidence that these ships were actually seaworthy when lost!! Glendale is a small town in the town of Greenfield, Wisconsin. The population was 1,951 at the 2000 census. It is located on County Highway D6 west of Greenfield. The first settler in Glendale was George Halsey in 1836. He built a cabin near what is now Glendale Elementary School and named it "Halsey's Island". There were no other settlers until 1851 when John Durant moved to Glendale from Illinois and started the first grocery store in Glendale. In 1864, James Worthy opened Worthy's Tavern which later became known as the GLENDALE GAS STATION. In 1896, Jens Jensen started operating a sawmill which became one of the largest sawmills in America. Jens Jensen also operated a paper mill which produced paper for local newspapers such as the "Greenfield Gazette" and "Milwaukee Journal". In 1928, he sold his mills to Alfred Pohl who renamed them THE NEW GLENDALE SAWMILLS INCorporated. The company continued to produce wood products until 1973 when it merged with another sawmill company to form TRW CORPORATION (now Dow Corning). Today, there are only six family-owned businesses left remaining in Glendale including: The New Glendale Sawmills Inc., Alfred Pohl Paper Mill, Trwe Corporation (Dow Corning), Fidelity Bankshares Inc., and Golden Grains Brewing Company Ltd.. These businesses continue to provide jobs for people living within walking distance of their workplaces as well as generate revenue that supports community services such as public education, infrastructure development, and general welfare initiatives. The history of agriculture in this area goes back many years before anything else was developed hereabouts; early pioneers used Native American resources such as cornmeal and squash while hunting deer or gathering fruit on the numerous lakes surrounding this area1 Today much agricultural production takes place around here—not just cheese making or lumbering but several types of crops like grapeseed(vegetables), soybeans(poultry feed), cottonseed(oilseed), peas/corn hybrids(feed for horses/cattle) and barley.(gasoline fuel). Noteworthy about these various productions are their higher yields than those found elsewhere2 This has been especially true during recent decades when technology has made major strides towards improving crop productivity3 Today someglendalewomen4 have taken up these pursuits full time5 Some women have even gone so far as to open their own farms6 Our farmers -some 60% menand 70% women -have always looked out for our common good7 And they still do today8

Glendale, Wisconsin was born on the east side of Milwaukee in 1854. The town was named for General James Glendale, who helped lead the United States during the Mexican-American War and later became a Senator from Illinois. The first settlers were farmers who started out on a small farm near what is now Highway 8. In 1907, Glendale became a city and has grown steadily ever since. Some of the famous landmarks in Glendale include: the Milwaukee County Courthouse (built in 1912), which is home to the Wisconsin Supreme Court; and Lake Michigan Park, which includes an observation deck and a visitor center. Today, Glendale is one of the most active towns inWI with many businesses and residents working to keep its traditions alive such as its annual Fourth of July parade that features marching bands and floats along with local food items like hot dogs and chili hounds.
The city of Glendale was founded on October 20, 1851 by the merger of two small towns, Galesburg and Arlington. The original name for the new town was "Galesburg." The community had a population of only 100 people when it was first established. By 1870, however, Glendale had a population of 3,000 people. In 1907, the town became an incorporated municipality with a mayor and four council members. On February 26, 1916, Glendale became the state capital of Wisconsin.
