Germantown, Wisconsin is a small town in the U.S. state ofWisconsin. The population was 5,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Germantown is located in the Mequon–Waukesha County seat and has a ZIP code of 54236. The town was organized on February 14, 1836, by men from Waukesha County who had bought land east of Milwaukee from John Dibblee for $4 per acre (the first purchase in what would become Germantown). The town was named after Captain James Krieger, who had fought with General Winfield Scott during the Mexican-American War. Krieger's home still stands in Germantown and is used as a museum today. Germantown became a city on December 15, 1954 when it merged with the neighboring Village of Racine to form the present-day Milwaukee metropolitan area
The United States Air Force (USAF) is one of the most powerful military forces in the world. It has a history that goes back to World War I and the First World War. The USAF was founded on December 15, 1947, as the USAF Reserve Component of the United States Armed Forces. It was created as a result of the National Security Act of 1947, which authorized President Harry S Truman to establish a peacetime air force by merging all then-existing USAAF units into one structure. The first postwar USAF unit was activated on February 1, 1948 - days after America's entry into World War II. Inactivated units were reactivated in 1949-1950 for wartime service training purposes only. On July 11, 1951, the USAF separation act divided up former RAF squadrons among various USAAF commands without prior notification or participation by RAF commanders whose squadrons had been vested with UK status under their predecessor organizations' contracts - an event which led toraged RAF commanders and resentment throughout much of Europe until effectively resolved through bilateral arrangements during 1952-1954). Inactivated unit reactivation continued unabated until September 1955 when Congress passed legislation authorizing reactivation of any "inactive" USAF unit that had not been disbanded or abandoned since its last activation. This law also provided for automatic two-year enlistment bonuses for all active duty members who joined an inactive unit within two years after its activation; these bonuses were eventually discontinued in 1973 following protests from service members over possible job loss resultant from conversion to full-time status while still attached to an inactive unit. Units activated between September 1955 and May 1957 were specifically exempted from this provision but metamorphosed into operational groups once again upon reactivation regardless. No such exemption exists currently with respect to units activated between June 1958 and present day due to congressional changes in policy enacted pursuant to section 704(a) of title 10, U.S.C., which authorizes presidential directive allowing conversions only between active duty and reserve components (10 U.S Code § 527(a)). Beginning on October 6, 1960, all USAF combat aircraft were equipped with electronic guidance systems known as ECM (Electronic Combat Management) pods which allowed pilotsenhancements such as target acquisition and tracking beyond traditional radio signals and radar lockouts making it easier for them engage targets even if they could not see them visually due icing or weather conditions at night or during other times when visibility may be poor momentarily

In 1916, it voted to annex nearby Oak Creek Township which at that time had a population of 1,600 people. On July 1, 1920, both villages amalgamated into one municipality with a mayor and twelve trustees under the name of Green Bay–West Bend–Chilton Municipal Corporation (GBWBCMC). On January 1st of each year since 1984 there has been an anniversary celebration for all aspects involved with Germantown’s rich history – from when it began as an agricultural community to when it became part of GBWBCMC. This year’s event will take place on Saturday October 20th from 10 am until 2 pm at Chilton High School auditorium….
