Cudahy, Wisconsin is home to the world’s second largest marine museum and aquarium. This town of just over 10,000 people was founded in 1873 by Danish immigrants who were interested in Marine Biology. The museum has a collection of more than 1 million items including fossils, sea shells, vessels and artifacts from the ocean floor. In addition, the aquarium features both sea life and land creatures from around the world. The Cudahy Museum & Aquarium is open every day except Monday closed for maintenance. Admission is free for all visitors with a US or Canadian passport or an American driver’s license. Parking is available on-site for $5 per vehicle.

Cudahy is a town in Door County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,965 at the 2010 census. The name of the post office that serves Cudahy was first established in 1854. The land for what would become Cudahy was grants from the Lac du Flambeau Sioux tribe and were given to men who could cultivate it. In 1853, John A. Cushman purchased part of this land and laid out a small town on it known as Indian Burial Ground which he named after his family's home state of Illinois, Illinois. In 1855, Daniel Webster bought part of the village and laid out another small town which he called American Cemetery because many American soldiers died during the Mexican-American War there. This townsite became known as Websterown after him. In 1870, Abram Paine laid out a large township including parts of what are now Cudahy on his estate near Green Bay called Prairie View Township (later Waukesha). This township became known as Prairie du Chien when it merged into Racine County in 1907.
