The Cedarburg Shooter Gift History begins with a man named George W. Prentice who bought his first rifle in 1892. He would go on to become one of the most successful shooters in Wisconsin, winning numerous championships and trophies. After Samuel Colt died in 1873, his son John BirtColt took over production of this weapon and continued its popularity until 1922 when it was discontinued due to World War I restrictions on military firearms. In 1907, two brothers named Harry & Harvey Kleiman started selling handguns under their name H&H Firearms Corporation. They would continue manufacturing firearms here until they dissolved their company in 1948. During their time at H&H Firearms Corporation, they developed what is now known as the Kleiman-Nagant Pistol which was used by both the United States Marine Corps and law enforcement agencies around the world. The Kleiman-Nagant Pistol is still being manufactured today by Meckel & Nagel Incorporated which is located within walking distance of The Gun Shop of Cedarburg!

Cedarburg, Wisconsin is a small town in the central part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Cedarburg was founded in 1836 by George Wickersham and is located near the confluence of the Kawkawia and Menominee Rivers. The population was 5,569 at the 2010 census.
