The Navy has been deployed to various places around the world for over forty years. The first deployments were during World War II, when the Navy was called up to help fight in Europe. Since then, the Navy has deployments all around the world and it has become a regular part of American life. This deployment history can be found in Brookfield, Wisconsin where they have a military installation that is home to two navy ships. These ships are used for naval exercises and also act as a gift for ceremonies or special occasions. The first navy ship stationed in Brookfield was USS Constitution (1814-1885). It was built by John Fitch and served in the Mexican-American War and participated in engagements at Vera Cruz and San Juan Hill. After serving its purpose, USS Constitution was decommissioned on October 15th, 1885 and sold for scrap. USS Perry (1849-1912) was similarly stationed in Brookfield from 1912 until 1916 when she was replaced by USS Buchanan (1916-present). USS Buchanan served during World War II as part of Task Force 38 which fought off Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor. She also acted as a gifts to commemorate Victory Day such as this Bronze Medal with Mycenaean Lion design: This bronze medal is significant because it is one of only three awarded posthumously to sailors who died during World War II. The other two medals were given to Commander William Safford Jr., USNR (Ret.) for his role leading destroyer escort Zigmund Freud into action against repeated torpedo attacks off Nagasaki on August 9th 1945 and Rear Admiral Chester Nimitz for leading TG 381 against Honshū forces at Okinawa on April 6th 1945. A further significant event took place on July 10th 1941 when USS Worcester (LHD 3) received a dedication from Franklin D Roosevelt who said: “I dedicate this ship to her gallant comradeship with LPH(S) Achilles(CDR), LPD(R), LSM(Ldr)," referring specifically to LSMS Forrestal's flagship HMS Astoria which had lost one mast after hitting an underwater mine while convoy escorting convoys routeTokyo Bay plying between America & Japan

The yard has produced submarines, destroyer escorts, and other warships. In 2006, it became part of the United States Navy's Pacific Fleet's Fleet Logistics Command.

Brookfield is located on the east bank of the Mississippi River and bordered by Green Bay to the north, Waukesha to the east, Racine to the south and Superior to the west. The first settlers in what would become Brookfield were farmers who arrived in 1836 from Maine. The town was organized as a village in 1855. Brookfield is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 9,579 at the 2010 census, making it the 8th-most populous municipality in Wisconsin and the second-most populous city in Milwaukee County. Brookfield is also the county seat of Milwaukee County. The first Europeans to explore what is now Brookfield were French traders and missionaries who followed Native American trails through present-day Wisconsin in 1814–15. The area that would become Brookfield was part of Racine Township until it was organized as a separate village on November 4, 1836, by order of Governor John Chilton. On February 17, 1837, Racine became the third town in Milwaukee County when it amalgamated with its neighbor South Bend to form what would eventually be called "Brookfield". On January 1, 1903, a fire destroyed many businesses and homes in downtown Brookfield while causing only minor damage to other buildings. It remains one of the most destructive fires ever caused in Wisconsin history. In 1907–08, construction began on what would become known as "The Great Western Highway", which linked Chicago with Cleveland via Milwaukee and Green Bay. The original routing crossed just south of wherepresent-day Park East Road meets Interstate 94 today; but due to changes made during World War II (including realignment of I-94), this section now lies between I-94 and Lake Michigan east of downtown Milwaukee. This section forms an important artery for transportation within suburban Milwaukee County and into southwestern Illinois beyond – thus creating an economic corridor stretching from northwest suburban Waukesha County through southeastern Dane County to northeast Indiana via Kansas City metropolitan areas along Interstate 70%. The highway's namesake continues down its current alignment towardsWaukesha Rapids before turning southeast towards Illinois at its terminus near St Louis University – constituting one significant piece of Brewers Belt commerce since its inception more than seventy years ago! In addition to providing access to cities located on either side of Fox Valley Agricultural District boundaries (the majority served by major airports outside Greater Chicago), The Great Western Highway helped spur development along two proposed routes: One connecting Chicago with Buffalo Springfield over the Summit Ridge Toll Road (now US 131); another linking Cedar Rapids with Superior over the Iowa State Highway 16 Bridge across Cedar River; both proposals were ultimately shelved due to funding shortages during World War II . After being serving primarily as a feeder road for I-294 from 1955 until 1971 when ramps leading onto I-94 opened at Interstates 94th Street/Milwaukee Avenue and 5th Street/Lakeview Avenue were constructed northbound only - along with full interchange facilities at those intersections - mainline I-694 became available southbound through DowntownMilwaukee after511 night closure Of all sections withinIWBTA , Northbound traffic had exclusive use Of ramps exitingIWBSA while South Bound traffic had access To ramp exits Only
