This brewery served up a wide variety of drinks such as beer (which is still served today), whiskeys (which weren't available then), hot chocolate (yum!), sodas (taste-testing was prohibited back then) and more! It was here that locals started referring to themselves as "Brewers" instead of "Coffee House Owners." One important founder of The Brewery was John Sikes who also started King's Brewing Company which became One Barrel Brewing Company before finally closed its doors in 2003. Another important person behind these businesses was brewer/coaster artist/restauranteur Joe Pappas who operated three restaurants called Joe's Place between 1892-1911 before selling them all together to concentrate on his brewing business. After World War II ended things changed for the better for small batch roasters because conditions got much harder for coffeespeakers around the country due to two things: war production quotas and an overall lack of demand for specialty coffees during those dark times*.
