After World War II, Austria-Hungary was dissolved and the area became part of the new Yugoslavia. On January 1st1993, Vienna became an independent city again under its own mayor and council system with separate budgets and services provided by different organizations including education; finance; health; recreation; law enforcement; public works; social services etc... Vienna, West Virginia was founded in 1876 by two Methodists. The town was named after the city of Vienna, Austria and it is located in Logan County. The population of Vienna was 593 at the 2010 census. In 1916, Vienna had a population of 1,752 and it is now a small town with only a few hundred residents. It has no public schools and all its residents attend private schools. The history of Vienna began when Reverend John Hinton built a cabin on the banks of the Kanawha River in what is now downtown Vienna. He served as pastor of the church there from 1876 to 1889. In 1892, Rev. Hinton donated land to make room for a school in Vienna. Mrs. Ladd donated money to create a building for the new school which she called “The Ladies’ School”. In 1907, Drs Anna Ladd and John Hinton purchased additional land adjacent to “The Ladies’ School” and they renamed it “Vienna High School” There were also three other buildings used for various purposes during this time: an office building for theVienna Board of Education, a garage for Mr. Kappelbachs grocery store, and finally an auditorium which served as the high school gymnasium until 1986 when it was replaced by Central High School (now known as Central Community College). In 1924, Mrs. Ladd died and her husband Drs Anna Ladd left their property to be used as part of Baylor University's medical research center which later became known as Medical University Park; however Drs Anna Ladd continue to give money support for Viennese education especially through giving scholarships to students from West Virginia who wished to attend medical school in Austria or Germany etc.. After her death in 1961 Msgr Vincent Jansky took over responsibility for Viennese education at Medical University Park while still providing financial support although he resided on site until his retirement in 2000 Mrgr Jansky dedicated all his resources towards improving student life including creating intimate living quarters/facilities on-site complete with kitchensette/bathroomettes/showers within sight accessible without leaving campus completely surrounded by lush green lawns adorned with stately trees that graced every inch of this beautiful setting; thus makingVienna one "alla vista" community college type learning environment where you could literally step out your front door onto Old Main Street (formerly Elmwood Avenue) just outside downtownVienna proper ! A major event that occurred during this time Period involved World War II when many locals enlisted or volunteered into military service either voluntarily or through enlistment drives organized by local newspapers such as The Weekly Review; some even went so far as traveling overseas! Many veterans returned home post-war but due largely to social security issues currently faced by many rural Americans like myself following years worth economic recession since then mostVEterans have chosen notto return home very much preferring instead social services available both government funded (such as free hospitalization & behavioral health care) & privately funded programs available either online thru www.(wwwdotcom dot com)or directly thru numerous agencies managed & operated by veterans organizations like DAVID or similar groups As mentioned earlier prior TOWV veteran's Affairs spokesperson Donniee Whitehurst stated "There are more people than ever before coming back home [after] serving our country - but they're still facing unique challenges" ([email protected] ) referencing several recent examples involving fraudulently obtained benefits being utilized among returning vets such as multiple cases involving homeless veterans housed at VA hospitals experiencing serious health concerns yet remaining untreated because their families could not afford quality care resultant from widespread laziness amongst Veterans Affairs employees resultant from endless job shortages caused primarily by unrestricted budget allocation given solely unto Veteran Affairs facilities rather than expanding employment opportunities throughout entire Department thereby accommodating everyone irrespectiveof skill level OR qualifications!
