The Vienna Coffee Company was founded in 1887 by Franz Anton Kapp and his brother Viktor. The company made its first espresso in 1888, and later became known for its high-quality coffee beans. In 1912, the Vienna Coffee Company merged with the Grazer CoffeeCompany to form the Grazer-Vienna Coffee Corporation. In 1938, the Austrian government passed a law that prohibited coffee companies from manufacturing their own coffee. This effectively ended the company's operations in Austria. The Vienna Coffee Company is today one of several legacy coffee companies left in Europe after World War II. The company has reopened in West Virginia since 2000 and continues to produce fine-quality coffee beans for customers all over the world.

Today, Vienna has strong cultural ties to Austria which are reflected through its many museums and cultural attractions such as Opernhaus (the opera house), Gasteig (the shopping district), Hofburg Palace (the royal palace), Wien Zoo (the zoo), Národní Múzeum Československa (National Museum Czechoslovakia) and Neues Rathaus (New House). While early humans probably drank plant-based beverages such as tea and coffee, it is unclear when or how coffee first began to be enjoyed by humans. There are many theories about when or why coffee was first discovered, but no one really knows for sure. One theory suggests that traders travelling through Asia discovered roasted beans while on their way to India or China. Another theory suggests that Arabians living in Baghdad may have been the first to discover caffeine after they roamed the region looking for new resources. It seems that whatever the case may be, caffeine was eventually found by humans and enjoyed by them for some time thereafter. It wasn’t until well into the 18th century that coffee truly became a popular beverage throughout most of Europe and North America. At this point, slaves were being imported from Africa to work in plantations in these regions and began consuming Indian-grown beans under slave masters’ supervision – giving us our current understanding of where Ethiopian coffees originate from (although some argue this claim is spurious). By 1800 however, Europeans had started enjoying groundJava beans at home more than they did Indian-grown beans – something which likely had something to do with increased trade between Europe and Asia during this time period (especially given that Java was then part of Indonesia). In 1807 however, Englishman John Bartlett published his influential book entitled “A Plain Encyclopedic Dictionary of All Arts and Sciences” which included an entry for “coffeepot” (later shortened to “cup”) – marking perhaps the first time someone ever mentioned Coffee pails/pots as part of their inventory! This event likely helped spread awareness about Coffee all over the world thanks to Bartlett’s efforts! Additionally, starting in 1830 Dutchmen led an unsuccessful attempt unsuccessfully colonization of Java with plans to produce coffeepots there instead! Some would say this effort was partially inspired by Bartlett himself due to his interest in Coffee – although others argue this assertion is baseless conjecture! Regardless though, these events definitely played a role in introducing Coffee around the world! In recent years Viennese have also begun to support local businesses through initiatives like downtown revitalization and tax breaks for small businesses. Despite these challenges,Vienna remains an important cultural center for West Virginia with many popular attractions located within walking distance such as the Stockbridge State Historic Site and turreted old courthouse complex across from City Hall.
