Since the early 1800s, coffee has been an important part of the Shoreline community. From small-time farmers and roasters to modern day multinational corporations, Shoreline's coffee history is rich and varied. The first coffee farms in Shoreline were founded by Dutch settlers in the late 18th century. The first beans were roasted on family farmsteads until 1875 when a group of Swedes arrived and began to roast their own beans. By 1903, coffee was being grown commercially in Shoreline by Danish immigrants. In 1916, Italian immigrants established a small grocery store at 4151 NE 175th Street which became one of the most popular tourist destinations in town. Coffee was also being sold at local convenience stores beginning in the 1940s. During World War II, coffee production increased as war exemptions were given to growers for producing certain goods such as coffee. After the war, demand for coffee continued to increase asenterprises such as Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts opened up in town. As more people relocated to town, more businesses started opening up around 120th Avenue SE; this area now known as North Park became especially active with several breweries and restaurants developing along its borders including The Shantytown Brewery (now brewpub), Karma Koffee House (now Karma Brewing Company), Netherland Café (now Dutch Bros.), Pike's Place Market (now Pike's Place Tavern), Snackbar Northwest (later SnackBar Seattle), plus numerous individual cafes and restaurants throughout much of what is now Pioneer Square downtown today - all while continuing to produce Coffee shops like Joe's Cafe[1] east of NE 185th Street near Congdon Plaza[2], Westside Coffee Roasters[3] on SW corner Eudora Ave., Belleview Coffee Museum [4], Bellevue Creamery [5], Capitol Hill Green [6], etc... This wealth ofcoffee history can be easily missed if not aware of it! Today's gourmet coffee industry is largely thanks to Keurig machines which have made it possible for many people to enjoy high quality coffees from all over the world at home without leaving their living rooms or apartments! With so many different types of coffees available today, there are sure to be something for everyone who wants their caffeine fix!

Coffee continued to be popular in Shoreline throughout the 20th century, and it wasn't until the 1960s that Prohibition caused a corresponding decrease in demand for coffee. However, due to an increase of jobs in the local economy, coffee began to regain popularity in Shoreline during the 1970s. Shoreline is a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 8,824 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area. The CDP was formed on July 1, 2000 as a result of the merger of Shoreline and Issaquah villages. The name honors floatation areas along Puget Sound that were lost to development with new land being developed nearby. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , all of it land. As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 8,824 people, 3,502 households, and 2,913 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,362.4 people per square mile (969.3/km²). There were 4,052 housing units at an average density of 992.7 per square mile (370.0/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97% White alone

Shoreline is a town in the U.S. state of Washington. It is located on the Olympic Peninsula, north of Seattle and south of Tacoma. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. Shoreline was founded in 1892 by Englishman John Leland, who named it for his home shorelines on Puget Sound. The town has been inhabited by Native Americans since before European arrival. The first white people to arrive in what is now Shoreline were fishermen from British Columbia who landed there in 1851 during the Gold Rush era and started a small fishing community that soon grew into an agricultural center with dairy and lumber production businesses. In 1892, John Leland came across land that he thought would be perfect for a new settlement and named it Shoreline after his home shorelines on Puget Sound. The name stuck and today's town contains more than 100 buildings from different eras including a lighthouse, hospital, bank, grocery store, post office and several schools including two high schools which are still operating as public schools today! During World War II, Shoreline served as a major airbase for Boeing Airplane Manufacturing Company with its main manufacturing facility being located on Post Road near West Point Park (now Don Murchison Parkway). After the war ended in 1945, many Boeing employees left Shoreline to take jobs at other companies but some remain active members of their old company through various activities such as baseball season tickets or blood donations to local hospitals
The first European to visit the area now known as Washington was Giovanni da Verrazzano in 1564. The first permanent English settlers were Pilgrims in 1607. The area was part of the British Colony of Virginia until 1783, when it became a territory of the United States. The Puget Sound region played an important role in American history and culture, with gold being discovered here in 1859 and subsequent exploration yielding more riches. In 1959, the University of Washington was established here, followed by nearby Seattle in 1976.
