The program was created in 1974 as a way for members of the Air Force to send gifts to family and friends stationed abroad. Today, the Air Force Deployed Gift Program reaches out to millions of servicemembers and their families each year through Gifts sent by our deployed forces and their spouses/ Domestic Partners. When it comes to the Air Force, there is no “one size fits all” answer when it comes to gift ideas. Kenmore is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,527 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area. The first people to live in what is now Kenmore were the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad passengers who passed through on their way to and from Tacoma in 1885. In 1912, local rancher W.H.C. Kenney donated land for a small community called "Kenmore" after he discovered pitch pine trees thereabouts. The name stuck and the community grew rapidly with new arrivals from all over the US during World War II; it reached its peak population of around 1,500 in 1951 before declining thereafter due to decreasing industry and other factors. In 2007, Kenmore voters passed an ordinance allowing same-sex marriage within its borders - becoming one of only three towns in Washington state to do so (the others being Lynnwood and Bothell). The town has since been working hard towards becoming more welcoming to all types of residents while continuing its role as a hub for culture and arts within King County – home to such diverse attractions as Boeing’s Lee–Monroe Factory campus, Paramount Pictures studios downtown and Phillips University’s Bellarmine School of Arts & Science – among many others. Today's Kenmore is located just east of Interstate 5 on Highway 10 between Everett and Issaquah; it spans .6 square miles (1 km²) with a population density of just over 100 people per square mile (38/km²). The United States Air Force has a long history of deploying gifts to allies and partners. This was a gift given to Albania by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt on December 12th 1944 during World War II. The gift consisted of two American P-47 Thunderbolts which were delivered as a gesture of goodwill towards Albania after they had helped Allied forces win the war against Nazi Germany. These planes were used by Albanian fighter pilots during the war and are still being flown today by Albanian military officials as part of ceremonial flights into Tirana Airport. Kenmore is a town in Washington County, Oregon, United States. The population was 902 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit the area were Spanish traders in 1792. In 1820, Oregon Territory was organized and Kenmore became one of its first towns. The town grew rapidly due to the influx of farmers and construction of railroad lines that brought jobs and commerce to the community. In 1854, when Congress created Multnomah County, Kenmore became one of its initial towns within it. The county's growth led to increased development in Kenmore as well as in other parts of Multnomah County until it reached its peak during World War II when more than 12,000 people lived there. With the war's ending came a decline in development activity; however, by recent estimates, Kenmore has experienced an increase in population since 2000 due to new housing developments and expansions centered around retail businesses such as Walmart and KOA Lodges
