Once the gift arrives at its destination, it is unloaded and transported by ground troops to the main hangar where it will be stored until needed again. The main purpose of this particular deployment was to provide support to Santa during his visit but it could have other uses as well such as hosting special events or gatherings.

Manassas Park is a census-designated place in Fairfax County, Virginia. As of the 2010 census, its population was 121,769. It is located on the western edge of Fairfax County and is bordered by Prince George's County to the south and west, Loudoun County to the north, and Arlington County to the east. The name "Manassas" comes from an Anglicized form of "Mahana" or "Hancock". The first people who lived in what are now Manassas Park originated from eastern North Carolina. They were white farmers who had come down from the Appalachian Mountains to settle in this area around 1800. Over time they acquired land east of present-day Manassas Park and developed it into a town called Mahana Springs. In 1881 they renamed their town after General Robert E Lee because he had been instrumental in helping them gain access to this area during the American Civil War. In 1892, when Manassas Park was incorporated as a town, it had a population of only 15 people. However, over time it grew rapidly due to its location - near transportation hubs such as Dulles Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport - as well as its growing tourism industry. Today Manassas Park has a population of over 120,000 residents and continues to grow each year thanks to its many attractions including: three golf courses (two public), two shopping malls (one big box mall with anchor stores such as Sears and JCPenney), five restaurants (four Chain restaurants plus one open table restaurant), four parks (two small) and two stadiums that host high school football games and other events.
