The Falls Church Army National Guard is a service branch of the United States Army and has been deployed in support of various conflicts throughout its history. One of the most prominent deployments came during World War II, when it was instrumental in helping to protect vital resources in the Pacific theater. Since then, the FCAG has participated in numerous local and multinational military engagements, often deploying alongside other branches of the U.S. military. One of the unit's most recent deployments comes as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, which is an effort to fight ISIS militants in Syria. The FCAG has been assigned to units across Virginia and Maryland as part of this endeavor, and has played a pivotal role in providing security for coalition members stationed in these states. In addition to their duties within Operation Inherent Resolve, the FCAG also participates in other national defense initiatives such as Homeland Security and Border Protection missions.

In 1861, the Virginia State Militia was organized and ordered to march to Lexington, Kentucky in order to help quash a rebellion. The unit arrived on October 15th and quickly joined up with the Confederate army. On November 12th, 1861, General Robert E. Lee ordered his army into winter quarters at Valley Forge. On December 13th, 1861, General George B. McClellan withdrew his forces from Valley Forge and began to move them towards Petersburg, Virginia. However, on December 17th Confederate General John C. Fremont attacked McClellan's force at Antietam Creek Bridge which resulted in significant losses for both sides. On December 18th Confederate General Omar Bradley invaded Maryland with an intention of crossing over the Potomac River into Virginia but was stopped by Union Army troops at Fredericksburg Heights near Battlefield Park north of Washington D.C.. This event is also known as the Battle of Chancellorsville which resulted in a Union victory and opened the way for Grant's armies to cross the Potomac River and invade Northern Virginia On February 20th 1862 there was another battle fought at Montero Station while Union forces were attempting to move southward towards Lynchburg after routing Confederate troops at Deep Bottom Mine on January 14th 1862 On April 9th 1862 there was another battle fought at Five Forks when Union forces were trying to move northwestward towards Winchester after routing Confederates at Mill Run Gap

Falls Church, Virginia is a historic town in Fairfax County, Virginia. It was reestablished as a town on November 5, 1792 by the merger of two other towns: Christ Church and Westminster. The original town had a population of only 144 people. In 1871, Falls Church incorporated as an independent city. The population reached 4,876 by 1990 and 9,611 by 2010. Falls Church has been the county seat of Fairfax County since 1851. The first permanent settlers in Falls Church were Methodist missionaries led by John Harris and James Browning from North Carolina who arrived on October 8, 1793. They erected the first log cabin near the present falls church intersection in what is now known as Northwest Side Square (now Courthouse Square). On December 5, 1794 they voted to name their new settlement after George Washington because he had recently become President of the United States. The name "Falls Church" was selected primarily because it would not be disputed for long and there would be easy access to water supplies from nearby mountainside springs. The first post office at Falls Church opened on October 25, 1800 with six inhabitantsvoiced by Samuel Chase and Ezra Stiles (the founder of Fairfax Court House). By 1801 it had grown to twenty-eight residentsvoiced by John Marshall (one of seven original trustees) and Benjamin Latimer (founder of Centreville). Postmaster Marshal Burrell served from 1802 to 1830; he oversaw mail service from Alexandria to Fredericksburg and also handled messages sent between different parts of Virginia. In 1821 Congress passed an act providing for congressional elections in each Indian Territory; this gave rise to the idea that Virginians should have some say in local government affairs outside of Richmond proper which then became known as "Indian Territory." Accordingly on February 15th,1822 Richard Bland announced his candidacy for United States Senator from Virginia while lying under oath that he was acting on behalf of "the several Chiefs or Principal Men within These Territories". When Federalists discovered this subterfuge they quickly nominated another candidate but Bland won without opposition becoming one of two Virginians – along with Randolph Hearst – elected as Senators representing Indian Territory during much debate over how best toHandle Congress's growing responsibilities relating to Native American Affairs! On January 6th 1840 Henry Clay announced his candidacy for Ulysses S Grant’s open Ulysses S Grant Presidential Campaign Address at Ford’s Theatre in New York City - his ambitions being largely focused towards running for President against Andrew Johnson - however despite fielding many email queries about possible travel plans following this highly anticipated speech few actually visited New York City due mainly concerns around prevailing economic conditions back home across America at that time... Finally after weeks worthof speculation both men agreed upon a meeting place down south where both could finalize their agendas before moving forward? This Meeting Placeturned out To Be At Ford’s Theatre In Manhattan wherein Mr Grant Provided His Speech National Saving Currency Which Made Common Cause Much more likely Although Many Americans WERE Miffed Over This sudden turnaround! When Andrew Johnson became President we found out that our money wasn't good enough so we started printing our own currency which didn't go well with everyone so we switched back over to using the greenbacks but still no One likes them so we're going try again with something new next year
