Power and Son began roasting coffee in their early-1900s business on Main Street in Christiansburg. The town's first grocery store opened in 1915, and by 1928, the Christianburg Coffee Company had moved to its current location on Elm Street. The company continued to grow and change throughout the years, becoming known for its high quality beans and delicious cup of coffee. In 2007, the company changed its name to Roasters at Roasters Coffee & Tea before moving into new facilities on Market Street in 2012. Today, Roasters at Roasters Coffee & Tea continues to provide delicious fresh roasted coffee to residents of Christiansburg and surrounding areas.

Christiansburg is a town in Pulaski County, Virginia, United States. The population was 13,567 at the 2010 census. The name "Christiansburg" is derived from the English word "Church". Christiansburg was founded in 1768 by planters who were moving from North Carolina to make their way in search of new land. The first permanent settler was Nicholas Pope. In 1854, the town incorporated as a city and became known for its large brick courthouse and extravagant architecture. One of the most famous residents of Christiansburg was General James Longstreet who served as governor of Virginia from 1858 to 1861 and later became Confederate general during the American Civil War. In 1919, Christiansburgs Civic Center hosted the world's first international fair dedicated to aviation and science fiction. Today, Christiansburg is an important cultural center for the region with several high-profile museums including the Robertson Museum of Art and History, which has been home to many major exhibitions such as American Art: A Century of Change (2009), America on exhibit (2005), and 20th century art: A Collection of Sculpture (2007). Christiansburg, Virginia was founded in 1749 by Christians of the Republic of Carolina as a town on the north bank of the Shenandoah River. It became an important center foriculture and agriculture, and its growth helped to make it one of the largest slaveholding settlements in Virginia. The town's nickname, "The Granary of the South," is still used today to describe its agricultural production. Christiansburg experienced significant growth during the antebellum period, thanks in part to its location at the crossroads of several important trade routes. Its engineering feats include construction of two major canals - one that connected Christiansburg with Winchester and another that linked Lynchburg with Norfolk - as well as a number of other infrastructure projects. In addition, Christianburg hosted several political events that helped shape Virginia's early history. For example, James K. Polk was born here in 1845, and John Fenton served as governor from 1852-1856. In 1865, after Confederate forces surrendered at Appomattox Court House, Christiansburg saw some significant changes due to Reconstruction efforts. African Americans were allowed to vote for the first time in local elections; however, many businesses remained closed because they could not afford to compete against white retailers. This period also saw a rising trend of violence against African Americans in nearby cities such as Petersburg and Richmond; however,Christianbergstood tall among these communities until a common riot erupted near towncenterin 1876). In 1902, Christianberg merged with nearby Parkersville into what would become Kingdom County; however, this merger did not result in any substantive change within the community or within its economy. During World War II Christianityburg played an important role both offensively and defensively; for example, it housed more than 1 million troops stationed throughout Virginia while providing essential defense industries such as munitions manufacturing and shipbuilding. After hostilities ended in 1945 portions of church property were taken over by state government control and continue operated under different names through most recent incarnations (eoughas Parksville Municipal Airport). Today much remains unchanged about this once vibrant community: its rich history is still honored through annual ceremonies like Christmas Tree Lighting/Fairs/Christmas Bazaar etc.; but also challenges are faced every day by those who live there – like trying to keep up with technological advancements which have made life easier for everyone but sometimes have unintended consequences
The first Christian church in Christiansburg was organized on December 12, 1822. The congregation first met at the home of Mrs. Sarah Goodloe. Reverends John Clements and George Stephenson preached there. The first sermon was preached by Rev. Clements.
