Over time, other businessmen purchased or partnered with Peake's company, creating some of the most prestigious names in coffee: Swen Haldane & Sons (now Hearst Corporation), Dutch Bros., American Coffee Associates (now Starbucks), and finally Ruprecht Kappelhoff & Co.(now Rojo). Rutland consistently produces top-quality coffee since it began producing beans here more than 130 years ago. In fact, the first documented references to coffee in the state come from 1635, when a Dutchman named Hendrick de Vlaming introduced the beans to the area. Coffee continued to be grown and traded throughout North America until it was discovered and cultivated in Africa by Portuguese traders in the early 18th century. From there, coffee began to spread through Europe and eventually reached Rutland in 1701. The town's first coffee house was built on Market Street in 1702, and over time, more stores and cafes opened up throughout the community. Coffee became an important part of Rutland society and its economy, helped along by its location close to major markets and transportation hubs.
Rutland is a town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,661 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Burlington metropolitan area. The first settler in Rutland was John Pemberton who arrived in 1764 and named it after his home town of Rutherglen, Scotland. In 1814, Rutland became part of the new state of Vermont when it was admitted to the Union as a independent country. Early settlers were largely farmers and mechanics who traveled to nearby towns for markets and services. One early business owner in Rutland was Elijah Fenton who operated an inn that still stands on Main Street today. The current community originated with Congregationalists who organized a meeting house on Meeting Square in 1810 to provide religious instruction to residents of the nascent town. A schoolhouse followed soon afterward and by 1830 there were about 20 students enrolled in grades one through twelve at the School House Annexe (later called Grades One-12). By 1870 there were 100 students attending public schools including 22 girls; however, this number would drop below 50 by 1910 due to overcrowding at local homes which had been built for family farming purposes only. A post office opened at Rutland in 1836 and remained open until 1959; during that time it served as an important stop along the Underground Railroad helping runaway slaves reach freedom across America's southern border. In 1865, Mary Jane Folger came to Rutland from Waterville with her family; she founded what is now known as Folger's Pharmacy on State Street near Market Square which continued operating until 1945 when it merged into Walgreens Incorporated.; throughout its history Folger's has been one of the most significant businesses in Rutland Vt., serving both locals and visitors alike with its wide selection of medications including over 60 different brands of antibiotics! Today’s small town atmosphere can be traced back to when people simply gathered around their fires each evening seeking warmth and support during wintertime; this spirit continues TODAY through clubs like The Old Mill Playground Association (OMPA), Chamber Music Society (CMS) & more!

The drink was also popular in Greece and Rome, where it was known as Koffein. In 1607, Giovanni Boccaccio wrote Dei Cappuccini, which is the first book full of recipes for coffee. The Dutch began to import coffee beans in the seventeenth century and began producing their own version of the drink in 1695. In 1802, a French expedition discovered Java and brought back roasted coffee beans as well as information on methods ofprocessing the bean. The first espresso machine was created by Angelo Parisi in 1796. By 1830, more than one hundred different types of coffees were being brewed by small businesses all over Europe. During World War I, caffeine became important to munitions manufacturers because it helped win battles that would end European war 1-4 million people died due to artillery fire alone! After the war ended in 1918, many new Italian cafes opened up that served espresso drinks called Lungo Dormitorio (Long Day's Rest). Today there are more than fifty thousand cafes serving espresso drinks all around the world! Many famous brands such as Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, Heineken have their origins atItalian cafés that continue to serve excellent coffee even after multiple changes in ownership and management throughout the years!

Rutland, Vermont is a small town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,639 at the 2010 census. It is the largest community in Rutland County and one of the fastest-growing communities in the state. The main industry in Rutland is agriculture, but there are also several small businesses and a few factories that produce goods for local consumption. Rutland's ZIP code is 06036. The first settlers to what would become Rutland arrived from England in 1672. At that time, there were only about fifty people living hereabouts. Over time, many others followed suit and the town grew rapidly from its meager beginnings to become one of the most populous communities in Vermont. In 1802, after centuries of growth and development within this small town, Rutland became part of neighboring Burlington Township when that township was created by act of Parliament out of portions of two other townships - Whitefield Township and North Adams Township - which had all previously been part ofHartford County. Today much of what makes up downtown Rutland has been built over during those years: Most notably Interstate 89 cuts through downtown on Market Street just east of where Griggs Hall now stands (the old courthouse); as well as numerous commercial buildings either destroyed or greatly changed since then including First National Bank (now Wells Fargo), Citizens Bank (now TD Ameritrade), JB Hunt Company Store #2 & 3 (now Home Depot), Patriot Mills Shopping Center (closed down in 2006), Masonic Lodge No. 597 & 697 (closed down in 2003) – all while frequently adding new storefronts throughout the course of each year thanks to advances in construction technology! In fact, it can be difficult to walk around any given block without encountering at least one modern building at some point during your visit! Rutland was founded in 1668 by John Rutland, a Puritan settler. The town became an important center of the Vermont Revolution and played a leading role in the Battle of Burlington. The Rutlands were among the first to be taxed directly by the state, which helped bring about its early development as aaristocracy. In 1801, they were among the first people to purchase land in what is now Burlington County.
