In the 1940s, two Japanese entrepreneurs founded the Japan Coffee Company in Salt Lake City. They grew coffee beans inside of an old shipping container until they found a niche market for their bean-to-bar espresso service in downtown Salt Lake City. The company continued to grow throughout World War II,kaya produced some of the most popular coffee products in the United States. In 1957, Koffee Klatch opened its first location in Ogden and began serving classic java drinks such as cappuccinos and lattes with fresh roast coffee. It quickly became one of the city's most successful cafes. Afterworld War II ended, coffee production slowed down as people moved away from agriculture to new lifestyles. However, Koffee Klatch maintained its popularity by opening more locations around town (including one on First Street). In 1984, KBWC bought out Japan Coffee Company and changed their name to The Bean Incorporated (TBI). TBI continued to produce quality coffee until 2001 when they merged with Peet's Coffee & Tea Co., Ltd., creating Peet's Coffee Corporation (PCC) - one of the largest Starbucks clones outside of Seattle WA Today TBI still produces high-quality Arabica beans for all types of beverages including drip machines and pour overs through their own roasting plant located on 400 North Main Street near IMAX theater at Weber County Fairgrounds near Cedar Rapids IA

Tooele, Utah is a city in St. George County, Utah, United States. The population was 9,898 at the 2010 census. Tooele is the county seat of St. George County. It lies on the Wasatch Mountains and shares borders with Provo to the north, Ogden to the east, South Jordan to the south and west, and La Verkin to the northwest. The city was founded in 1872 by pages from Brigham Young's army who were on their way down from Nauvoo. The first store opened in 1874 in what is now downtown Tooele. In 1875 Fenton Wigglesworth donated land for a courthouse which was completed in 1886 and named for him after his death that year. A school district was organized in 1909 and Tooele became an incorporated town in 1912; it again became an unincorporated city when its boundaries changed several times during World War II as part of various military campaigns and expansion efforts throughout Utah Territory (later known as Arizona). On July 24, 1960—the day after Salt Lake Citysbought control over much of southern Utah—Tooelebecame an independent municipality within Salt Lake City limits via charter amendment passed by voters through a vote of 7-0; this event helped give impetus to municipal growth throughout much of Utah Territory during that decade (and into the 21st century), although individual municipalities have continued to exist within Salt Lake City's boundaries until they were dissolved or merged into larger entities following local political changes or natural disasters (e.g., Hurricane Katrina forced New Orleans' incorporation into Louisiana State government). In November 1984 Mayor Clyde Ritchie announced plans for a new ballpark adjacent to modern-day University Park located just east of Interstate 15 near Downtown Tooele; construction began shortly thereafter but halted amid public opposition due largely to environmental concerns about potential impacts from development around campus should such a project proceed unchecked (it recommenced later underMayor Ralph Becker). Tooele's early history is shrouded in mystery. What we do know, however, is that the community was founded by Brigham Young in 1847. The town grew rapidly during the mid-19th century, thanks to its location on the banks of the Jordan River. By 1870, Tooele had a population of 3,500 and an impressive infrastructure including a flour mill, woolen mills and a sawmill. However, by 1907 Tooele's population had decline to 1,700 due to factors such as immigration and development outside the town. In 1922, Tooele became an organized municipality and experienced rapid growth once again thanks to its proximity to Salt Lake City and general prosperity throughout the 1920s and 1930s. However, by 1940 Tooele's population had decreased again due to World War II rationing. Today, Tooele retains some of itsRupert Murdoch-era glory - it is home to two major newspapers (the Utah Tribune and Deseret News) as well as several smaller publications - but its economy has changed quite significantly since then.
