Taylorsville is a small town in Duchesne County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Provo–Orem Metropolitan Statistical Area. Taylorsville is northeast of downtown Provo and east of the Wasatch Mountains. The Millard Fillmore Agricultural School was founded in 1887 by Dr. John Prentice and his family as an agricultural school for Native American children living near Taylorsville on the Millard Fork River. In 1924, the school became known as Taylorsville High School after Mrs. Fenton Taylor donated land to become a public high school campus east of the millrace that would house all Cayuga Valley Unified Schools students from grades 9-12 together on one campus (). Mrs. Fenton Taylor also contributed $10,000 to purchase new athletic fields and other physical improvements on which her pupils could practice their athletics during summer months (). In 1957, Taylorsville Junior/Senior High School opened with grades 7-12 and was attached to Cayuga Valley Unified Schools until 1999 when it became its own separate entity administered by Duchesne Countygovernment (later Utah State government). On July 12, 1984 local residents organized themselves into a “town meeting” in response to a request from nearby Davis City for recommendations about how they should handle issues such as zoning changes or annexation requests that had been made without any input from them or from anyone within TaylorsVILLE itself (). On November 5th 2006 citizens held another "town meeting" to voice concerns about proposed plans by BYU University which involved demolishing several homes in town center (the first time this had ever happened in history) and developing acres of undeveloped land just outside town limits (). After many hours of discussion it was decided that no action would be taken based upon those concerns but future proposals involving property destruction or annexation will need to be considered through township meetings where citizens have direct access to all stakeholders involved ()

Taylorsville is an unincorporated community in Utah County, Utah, located east of Taylorsville on the unpaved road leading to Bryce Canyon National Park. It was named for Edward Tayler, a settler who arrived in 1847. The first post office at Taylorsville was established in 1868, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1912. In 1916, the community became part of the newly formed Provo City limits. The population of Taylorsville peaked at around 100 people during World War II; however, this number decreased over the years and peaked at just under 50 residents in 2000. Today, there are only a few elderly residents remaining and no businesses operate within the community.
