The Utah Air National Guard's 1st Bomb Wing presents the H-1B helicopter gifts to the Pleasant Grove Police Department in 1987. The gift was a response to a $10,000 donation from the city of Pleasant Grove. The H-1B helicopters have been with the Utah Air National Guard for more than 20 years and have played an important role in numerous military operations across the state. Their introduction into civilian life is commemorated by a dedication ceremony held at LDS Temple Square in Salt Lake City on October 6, 2006. In honor of their long service to society, representatives from both the Utah Air National Guard and local law enforcement were on hand to present awards and congratulate guests on behalf of Mayor Ralph Becker and City Councilwoman Sandy Petersen.

Pleasant Grove, Utah is a small town located in Tooele County, Utah. The population was 2,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Ogden-Clearfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers arrived in 1847 and by 1860 there were just over 20 people living in Pleasant Grove. The community was named for General Pleasant Dodge who fought in the Mexican-American War. Dodge donated land to the town and helped found it. In 1955, Pleasant Grove had a school with just 10 students and no teachers. In 1988, a new high school opened and has since grown to 230 students and 12 teachers. In 2000, an elementary school also opened and now has 4 classes with 30 children enrolled. There are many businesses in Pleasant Grove including two grocery stores (Grocery Outlet Store & KFC), two restaurants (Jay's Checkers & Chinese Garden), two convenience stores (CVS Pharmacy & 7-Eleven), one bank (Branch Banking Company) as well as several churches including First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove which serves as the town's main church and Methodist Church of Pleasant Grove which also serves as the town's main church services are held here each morning from 6am to 10am before moving on to other local churches throughout the day until finally ending up back at First Baptist Church around 1pm for dinner service Additionally there is also a library that open 9am-4pm every day

There are even some former RAF squadrons stationed within American airspace - such as No 1 Squadron RAF flying Jaguar fighters from Mildenhall AB England during Cold War times! Pleasant Grove is a town in Utah, United States. The population was 5,611 at the 2010 census. Pleasant Grove is located in Davis County on the border of Salt Lake City and Provo. The first permanent settler in Pleasant Grove was George Waddell who arrived in 1847. In 1850, John Butler made the first Territorial Donation land grant to settlers in what is now Pleasant Grove. The town was named after Colonel John McLaughlin, Governor of Utah Territory from 1861-1863. A post office was established at Pleasant Grove in 1872, and remained open until it closed in 1912. In 1907, Brigham Young designated the townsite near his summer home as "Pleasant Grove." Mormon missionaries were dispatched to various parts of America during World War I with orders to proselytize for Jesus Christ and spread the gospel to those who would listen; one such missionary, Preston Pahrman, visited Pleasant Grove while on assignment there. After returning from Europe he organized a church here which quickly became known as "Mormon Bible College." The college closed its doors for good in 1924 but continued operation as an educational institution until 1990 when it merged with Brigham Young University–Provo campus to form BYU–Provo Campus. In 1916 President David O. McKay called a special session of the Utah Legislature to pass a resolution designating Thanksgiving Day as "National Thanksgiving Day" within the state of Utah; this event led to significant growth around National Park boundaries throughout much ofUtah over ensuing years including within present day Pleasant Grove where most people know about Thanksgiving through visits by tourists or drive-bys from nearby Zion National Park or Springdale
Pleasant Grove was founded in 1847 by Mormon pioneers. The town was named for the grove of trees near the original settlement. The first store in Pleasant Grove was built on the corner of North and West streets. In 1853, Pleasant Grove became a county seat. The town had a population of about 100 people when it incorporated as a city in 1902. Pleasant Grove lost its status as a city after annexation by Utah in 1916.
