The Lindon Coast Guard Station has been providing law enforcement and emergency services along the Utah-Arizona border since 1919. The station is also responsible for a number of other responsibilities, such as Search and Rescue, education, and public access to coastal resources. The station was founded on December 10, 1919 by Captain W.H. Henson in order to provide security for the citizens of Lindon and surrounding communities along the Arizona-Utah border. At its peak in 1951, the station had a staff of nineteen officers and two enlisted women. Since then, the station has undergone several expansions and renovations; most notably in 1984 when it received a new searchlights system and an octagon antenna that allows for better radio communication with other stations around the area. In 2002, the department received a new helicopter from McDonnell Douglas which allowed for increased patrols within Cover Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Today, the coast guardstation offers a variety of services including: Search and Rescue; public access to coastal resources; education; law enforcement;and more.

Lindon, Utah is a town located in Carbon County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,644 at the 2010 census. Lindon is part of the Provo–Orem metropolitan area. It is bordered by Cache Valley to the north, Bearsville to the east, and Cottonwood Heights to the south. Lindon was founded in 1847 as a small Mormon settlement on an outcropping of shale near present-day Cedar City. The first store and Post Office were built in 1851. By 1861, Lindon had a school and two churches. A railroad arrived in 1865 and helped bring industry and growth to Lindon; by 1870, there were six businesses in town with $10 million in assets. In 1903, president Wilford Woodruff visited Lindon and pronounced it "a very fine place." During World War II (1942–1945), Lindon became home to four Army Air Forces fighter bases: Luke Field (later Wright-Patterson AFB), Midway Field (later Kirtland AFB), Creech Air Force Base (later Offutt AFB) and Wendover AFB. During that time it also saw heavy use as an airfield for military cargo planes including Boeing B-29 Superfortresses flying strategic bombardment missions against Japan during World War II; these operations took place over several days each week from early 1942 until 1945 due to shortages of Landing Ground Facilities closer to Tokyo caused by Japan's bombing campaign against Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941 (). In recent years much development has taken place withinLindon limits with new housing developments being built along Highway 84 as well as new restaurants/cafes opening up shop inside Town Hall Square which houses many local businesses such as a post office/bank/grocery store/gas station etc., making it one of most vibrant small towns you will experience while living or visiting Carbon County!

Lindon, Utah is a small town located in Kane County, Utah. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. Lindon is one of the oldest towns in Kane County and has been existing since 1851. It is home to the Lindon Pioneer Cemetery and the Lindon-Sanpete Museum. The first people to live in what is now Lindon were Mormon pioneers who arrived in 1851. The original settlers were farmers and their families who farmed on a cattle ranch that was later purchased by the LDS Church. In 1871, a post office was established at Lindon and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1916, the city of Lindon was incorporated and its mayor was Wm. Swayne Hanks. The first mayor of Lindon City Council was John Laddsbury Sr.. In 1932, construction began on what would become Sanpete Dam which would serve as an important piece of water infrastructure for southern Kane County. The dam Construction ran for two years and finished in 1934 when it was dedicated by President Franklin D Roosevelt with significant public ceremonies including football games between local high school teams and speeches from Congressman Harry Byrd (D-Virginia). The town ofLindon experienced several changes during World War II due to production activities at nearby Sanpete Dam which produced over $60 million dollars worth of products resulting in 2,500 jobs being created within the community alone! Postwar growth slowed down significantly until economic recession hit around 2007-2008 That momentum reversed course with new development occurring throughout central Kane County which has resulted in more than 1,000 job postings online for local professionals just since January 2018!
Lindon was founded in 1869 by pioneers John and Emma C. Lindon. The town was named for the Lindons’ youngest daughter, Londa, who was born in the area in 1868. The first post office opened inLindon on May 1, 1870. In 1896, the LDS Church constructed aTemple of the Holy Ghost in Lindon and renamed it Kimball House Temple after George Kimball, an early settler and member of the LDS Church.
