The Lehi Army Museum is a nonprofit organization that preserves the history of the Lehi, Utah, Territorial Militia. The museum has exhibits on the history of Lehi and its surrounding communities, as well as military equipment and artifacts from throughout Utah and America.
Lehi, Utah is a city located in Kane County, Utah, United States. The population was 21,826 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Kane County. The city was founded in 1847 by Mormon pioneers as a stop on their trip from Nauvoo, Illinois to Salt Lake City. Lehi's growth has been rapid since it became a town in 1959; it currently has a population of over 30,000 and is the fastest-growing municipality in Kane County. The history of Lehi goes back to 1847 when Mormon pioneers journeyed from Nauvoo, Illinois. They were seeking refuge from religious persecution and wanted to establish a new home for themselves and their families. When they arrived in what is now known as Kane County they found an area that was ideal for farming and grazing purposes. However, due to shortage of land and lack of resources these pioneer settlers had difficulty building permanent homes or establishing businesses. In order to improve life for his people Brigham Young ordered George Wickersham - one of the original members of the Church - to start construction on what would become known as The Hockaday House (later renamed The Lehi House). This house symbolizeduate Latter Day Saint hope for success as they journeyed eastward into what is now Utah Territory. In 1909 Lehi's first grocery store opened its doors with twelve items available for purchase including flour, sugar, bacon products and eggs. By 1961 there were twenty-one stores providing essentials such as food staples such as flour, sugar, bacon products and eggs., medical supplies such as antibiotics and bandages needed during World War II and other assorted items not typically found in local stores like appliances or toys because these items were expensive or difficult to find outside of Salt Lake City where prices were higher than in neighboring towns like Provo or Orem which made groceries affordable for average citizens living paycheck to paycheck etc... In 1963 KSLA Channel 12 aired "The Early Years" documentary chronicling some key moments that helped lead up to today’s vibrant community with over 30 thousand residents! Lehi’s success story can be traced back more than sixty years ago when young George Wickersham started work on what would become known as The Hockaday House which later became called The LeHIHouse

The Continental Army was created to resist European invaders and protect America's independence. During the Revolutionary War, the army grew from a few hundred soldiers to over two million men. Some of the most famous soldiers in the army were John Adams, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. The army also helped make America one of the world's leading powers by defeating Great Britain in several battles.
Lehi, Utah was founded on the remains of an ancient city by The prophet Mormon. After traveling to many places in search of a resting place for his people, Mormonism found a site in the Great Salt Lake Valley that would be perfect for their new home. In 1847, Lehi's prophets organized a colony and began building their homes and temples. The town grew quickly and soon had a population of over 1,500 people. Lehi was named after one of the twelve apostles who accompanied Mormon when he traveled from Nauvoo to this area in 1831. Mormon first visited this region during his travels through the Great Western Desert in 1829-30. Upon finding this particular valley, he named it Lehi because it resembled Jerusalem in its beauty and grandeur (see map below). The town continued to grow rapidly as more settlers arrived and began erecting homes and businesses around what is now downtown Lehi. By 1861, there were over 6300 residents living in Lehi according to census records (see map below). In 1880, Brigham Young announced that all Saints living east of the Jordan River must move westward or face expulsion from the church. This order caused great hardship for those who lived east of the river including some very prominent citizens such as Isaac Morley (see Map on next page). Nevertheless, many people chose to move westward anyway due to religious reasons including wagonloads of goods being brought down traffic lanes just outside Lehi into Salt Lake City every day! In 1916-1917, most residents left for good when World War I started; however, a few returned after Armistice Day 1917. In 1922-1923 only about 50%of original population remained; however by 1925 all but 5% had departed again due to various factors including post-war inflation which increased food prices exponentially within Utah (see Map on next page) . Today less than 10% remain within the walls of downtown Leli proper while 100% reside outside its boundaries . As part of efforts underway since 1998 called "Heritage Initiative," several hundred original buildings inside or near downtown have been restored or returned back into use as they once were before conversion into apartments/condominiums/hotels etc., making LeHI one active community where history reigns supreme!
