Gourmet Coffee History in Hurricane, Utah began with the founding of the first coffee shop in Hurricane, UT in 1978. The coffee shop was called The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and it served only espresso beans. It was a small operation but it made a big impact on the coffee industry. In 1984, Hurricane established its own roasting company which became known as Koffee Klatch. In 1990, Koffee Klatch opened its second location in Provo and soon became one of the most popular coffee shops in Utah. In 1995, Koffee Klatch moved to what is now known as their current building in Hurricane. This new location quickly became one of the most popular tourist destinations for coffee lovers throughout the state of Utah. In 2006, Koffee Klatch announced that they would be moving their business again - this time to Logan Airport! They have continued to serve delicious cupcakes at Logan Airport ever since!

Koffee Klatch also served up many different types of coffee drinks such as venti chai lattes and decaf pods. In 2006, Bakelite Coffee opened shop in town. This spot specializes in baked goods such as cookies, pies and pastries along with their famous cafe-quality coffee. Bakelite also offers a wide variety of tea options including standard bold or light roast teas along with unique blends like Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Tea Blend and Guatemalan Oaxacan Teavana Tea blend.
The term "hurricane" is often used to describe natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes, thunderstorms and earthquakes. Hurricanes can be very destructive, causing significant damage to property and people. They are also a major threat to infrastructure, such as power plants and transportation systems. In Utah, Hurricane was the most serious storm to affect the state in many years. The storm made landfall on September 24th of 2017 as a Category 4 hurricane with winds up to 185 mph (290 km/h). The storm caused extensive damage across much of central Utah including farms and homes. Injuries were reported throughout the State and several hundred thousand dollars in damages were assessed. Overall, Hurricane killed at least four people in Utah and left at least fifteen people homeless.

These days, even high-end restaurants sometimes offer their customers cold brew products from local roasters like Blue Bottle Coffee or Sixpoint Brewery

In 2003, Hurricane Mayor Donny Hammons announced plans to redevelop portions of downtown into an urban center with office space and a hotel/conference center as well as residences for people who work there. That project is still ongoing today and is expected to be completed sometime around 2020 or 2021. The city also built a water filtration plant which began operation back in 1984 and continues to operate today; it’s responsible for removing more than 2 million gallons per day from city streetscreens- making it one of the largest such plants east of Mexico City! All things considered, Hurricane, Utah has seen quite a bit of growth since it first came into existence- much like other towns within Utah’s sprawling borders!
