The company was founded by Tim and Kristin Hegarty, two entrepreneurs who wanted to bring a new flavor to the community. Today, Tactical Coffee is one of the largest and most successful coffee companies in Utah. The Hegarty Family had been growing coffee in their farmstead for many years before they decided to start selling it online in 1997. That year, they started out with just a few beans and quickly grew into what we now know as the world’s leading coffee company. In 2016, Tactical Coffee became an independently owned subsidiary of Black & Decker Corporation. Today, Tactical Coffee exports its product all over the world and continues to be a staple in independent cafes around the globe. They have multiple stores in Utah and Nevada as well as subsidiaries throughout Europe and Asia Pacific region. In addition to their popular Regular roast blend that is currently available at all of their stores, they also offer Breakfast Blend (made with more robust flavors), Espresso Roasts (which are made with Italian roast beans), Decaf roasts (strawberry or vanilla), Shredded Blends (with menthol) and Maxi Coffees (a blend of Papua New Guinea dark roasted Ethiopia coffees). Tactical Coffee was founded in Holladay, Utah in 1997 by two friends who were tired of the same old coffee. They started out making a small batch of coffee each day, but soon realized that they could make better coffee by using different beans and techniques. Through their experience and experimentation, they developed what is now known as the Artisanal Coffee Experience. Today, Tactical Coffee has over 20 locations throughout Utah and Arizona. They focus on providing high-quality artisanal coffee at reasonable prices. Their goal is to bring people together to enjoy great tasting coffee while learning about history and culture.
Holladay, Utah is located in the Wasatch Front region of Utah and is bordered by Provo to the east, Ogden to the north, East Stroudsburg, PA to the west, and Carbon County to the south. The population of Holladay was estimated at 4,471 as of 2010. Holladay is a small town with a small-town feel. It has a Main Street atmosphere with many businesses on it. There are no retail districts or malls in Holladay. Instead, it has several large parks which are used for activities such as swimming and playing sports. The history of Holladay goes back over 120 years! In 1881 when Abraham Lincoln passed through this area he noted that there were “a few scattered dwellings hereabouts” but he didn’t find anything interesting about it because there was nothing special about this area other than its location and easy access to water supplies. However, in 1907 Brigham Young designated Holladay as one of his “domestic stations” meaning that this would be an important stronghold against Mexican invasion during the Great War (1899-1904). This designation changed everything because now Holliday had leadership from both Brigham Young and Heber Copley – two of America’s most famous Mormon prophets who were also leading missionaries in Mexico during those years (see sidebar below). In 1915 President Woodrow Wilson issued an Executive Order creating what is known today as The Department of Defense Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) which included all military installations worldwide including Holladay which was then part of Davis–Monthan Air Force Base – Southern Arizona Division. At BRAC meeting held at Fort Sill Oklahoma City we became responsible for allocating military housing for overseas expansion within our borders especially areas like Los Angeles County where housing was scarce (at that time it wasn’t!). So when General Dwight Eisenhower announced plans forOperation Overlord in 1944 Abilene TX ABQ became home to United States Military District 10 aka The Ninth Army Group headquartered atmagna dam while Twelfth Army Group Headquarters relocated from Carlsbad NM across Alamogordo NM into what is now Offutt AFB NY!!! When they vacated Offutt AFB they transferred all their equipment & personnel plus any excess material & vehicles eastward across I-15 into Springerville UT where they will still be providing air defense services today!!!

Holladay was founded in 1847 by Brigham Young and his followers as a Mormon settlement on the eastern edge of Salt Lake City. Holladay quickly became an important center for LDS worship, education, and commerce. The town's nickname, "The Promised Land," was based on its location at the convergence of several religious trails that led to Utah. In 1862, Holladay was renamed Provo after president Brigham Young's son-in-law, Lorenzo Snow. In 1896, Provo became the seat of Utah County when all of Weber County were organized into a single county. The population of Provo peaked in 1920 at over 100,000 residents; however, it has since declined steadily and fell to about 35,000 residents in 2000. Today Holladay is primarily a historical landmark and local community with some commercial activity. A museum located within the town limits provides visitors with information about the history of Holladay and its people.
Holladay was founded in 1847 as a small town on the banks of the Virgin River. The town was named for General James H. Holladay, who had lead American forces in the Mexican-American War and later served as a U.S. senator from Utah. The first post office opened in Holladay in 1848, and by 1860 the population had increased to around 100 people. The first courthouse was built in 1850, and by 1862 it had become necessary to build a new one due to increasing natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes that struck the area at that time. In 1865, Holladay became an incorporated town with a population of 350 people. By 1870, there were over 1,000 people living in Holladay. In 1865, Holladay also developed into an agricultural center due to its good soil and water resources. Farms grew sugar beets, corn crops, cotton flowers, eggs (until about 1892), meat products (poultry until about 1920), lumber (including oak trees until about 1925), potatoes (until about 1930), and olives (until about 1945). Holladay experienced several economic expansions during its early years including some growth of businesses catering to travelers through its annexation of other towns along the Virgin River between 1849-1853; developing connections with Salt Lake City viaUnion Pacific Railroad tracks east of Holladay from 1850-1856; becoming home to important industrialists such as Elisha Bickerton Sr., founder of Deseret Industries; and experiencing significant influxes of non-native settlers which caused social stability issues among local citizens throughout the early 19th century before reaching fruition during Reconstruction Era times following World War I when many immigrants began moving into central Utah Territory seeking opportunity while most residents slowly assimilated over time
