Eagle Mountain, Utah is home to the world’s third largest copper mine and one of the mostpolice departments in the United States. The town has also become known for its gift history, which began with a group of officers from neighboring St. George. In 1881, Eagle Mountain was founded as a mining town by Latter-day Saints who were looking for new land to settle. The first police department was organized in 1892 and it was called the “St.George Police Department.” The name change came about because at that time, Eagle Mountain was one of only two towns in Utah that had a post office and no police department. Eventually, other towns in Utah joined forces with St. George to form the Eagle Mountain Police Department, which remains today one of the largest law enforcement agencies in America. Today, Eagle Mountain is home to more than 100 officers who provide law enforcement services throughout Ward 8 including Salt Lake City and Provo city limits. This large force allows for quick response when necessary and helps keep our community safe during high-crime times or when there are special events happening nearby like CES (Consumer Electronics Show). Eagle Mountain, Utah is an isolated mountain located in south-central Utah. The peak reaches a height of 4,848 feet (1,463 m). It was named for the eagles that are common in the area. Eagle Mountain is one of only a few mountains in the area that have multiple summits. The first people to live on Eagle Mountain were the Ute Indians. Around 1847, they built a small cabin on top of the mountain. The first post office was established at Eagle Mountain in 1868. By 1907, Eagle Mountain had 10 residents and two businesses. In 1912, a road was built from Ogden to Eagle Rock and from there it connected to other routes. The first word ever written in English on the summit of Eagle Mountain was "Eagle Rock." In 1924, Congress passed an act making it part of Bears Ears National Monument and preventing any development on or around the mountain until further notice. Development began soon after but stopped when president Franklin D Roosevelt signed Executive Order 12952 in November 1935 which created Park Service land within Bears Ears National Monument boundaries including Eagle Mountain as well as all adjacent national monuments and conservation areas east of Antelope Valley Lake

Eagle Mountain is a small town located in Tooele County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1877 by George A. Smith and his family as an outpost on the Wasatch Mountains for their Mormon colony known as Brigham Young's Station. Eagle Mountain is named after the mountain peak from which it takes its name. The first inhabitants of what is now Eagle Mountain were Native American people who roamed the area before settling here in 1877. The location attracted European settlers in the 1840s when prospectors discovered coal and oil deposits hereabouts. By 1860, there were over 100 residents living in Eagle Mountain; most were miners and their families who worked nearby mines. By 1870, Eagle Mountians had organized themselves into a one-room schoolhouse and began to build homes around it. In 1896, President George Washington Carver came to Utah to survey some new land for farming purposes and discovered coalitional coal seams on Jim Bridger Peak near present-day Falcon Heights. He offered $10 per ton for these Coal Measures from his private stock to anyone who could find them, but no one did bit until James Wickenheiser of Beaver Dam contributed $100 worth of Coal Measures to the Utah Geological Survey in 1912 while he was serving as its directorate archaeologist at USGPO headquarters inWashington D C.. This helped spur development of mining operations around Falcon Heights with resultant jobs that supported local residents for many years thereafter! In 1916, John Hemenway became CEO of USGPO and directed development of mining projects all over western Utah including those at Falcon Heights where he also drilled wells providing water supplies for locals during harsh times! In 1933-34 during Franklin D Roosevelt's administration notice was given that gas reserves had been found within 10 miles (16 km) of downtown Salt Lake City so work commenced immediately on developing this valuable resource! When Formosa Copper Mines merged with Phelps Dodge Company in 1935 they established United States copper production guidelines which applied equally to both companies' holdings so more than 350 employees (of whom about 90% were women) worked contemporaneously on developing this significant mineral cache throughout much of 1938-39 when prices reached unprecedented levels thanks largely to world War II shortages! By 1945 production had been increased 50 fold from earlier levels resulting in employment totaling nearly 5000 individuals plus numerous suppliers/contractors associated with processing Buffalo Shooting Powder plant ashes into alumina output beginning 1941
