Eagle Mountain is a small town in the U.S. state of Utah. As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,883. The name Eagle Mountain comes from the mountain peak that dominates the town's skyline, Eagle Peak. The peak is located about 17 miles (27 km) east of downtown and overlooks most of the adjacent towns of Easton and Romney. Apostate Mormon missionaries journeyed to Eagle Mountain in 1847 as part of their effort to proselytize among local Mormons. They named the peak after one such missionary, Sidney Rigdon, who had been killed while leading a group up Echo Summit two years earlier during what would become known as The Mormon War. In 1898, when Utah became an independent republic, Eagle Mountain became its capital city and remains so today. In 1905, Easton incorporated as a separate municipality with its own government; it retained this status until 1959 when it merged with Romney to form a single municipality under Republican rule. The economy of Eagle Mountain is based largely on tourism which has played an important role in its history and economy since early days; visitors come for hiking or camping opportunities as well as for views from atop Mount Lemmon and other nearby peaks. Many businesses are located within walking distance of visitor centers or within easy access by car or bus for day-trips outside the town limits; some provide dining options outside tourist traps like Subway restaurants or gas stations offering limited American cuisine choices like pizza or Chinese food
The nation's guard is a term often used in the United States to describe the military forces of the country. The National Guard was organized on September 25, 1792 as part of the First Continental Congress and it has played an important role in American history. Today, there are over 400,000 members of the National Guard in the United States and they play a variety of roles including security, disaster relief, and law enforcement. One of the first measures taken by Congress when they formed the National Guard was to provide for its organization. Two Acts of Parliament were passed in 1792 providing for a militia force consisting only of men aged 21-25 who could carry arms and be disciplined by their commanders. This militia force would serve until 1802 when another Act was passed that provided for a permanent national guard force made up mostly of citizens from each state with at least one-third serving abroad during any time period. Through these various changes, it was clear that there was not enough manpower available to create a nationwide armed force. To address this problem, President George Washington signed Executive Order No. 3 which called for the mobilization and enrollment into federal service (military or national) of all males 25 years or older who could bear arms within three months after its passage. This order created what is known as "The Great Enrollment". This mobilization led to an increase in recruitment among those under 25 years old because it symbolized young Americans' faith that their future lay ahead if they served our country properly. As such, many male graduates from high school or college were enlisted into federal service right away while others waited until their enlistment age had increased somewhat (usually through promotions). Once enrolled into federal service, soldiers received training at home before being sent overseas where they participated in many key battles during America's Revolutionary War against British forces. Even after returning home from war some soldiers decided to stay on and fight another round of wars - this trend continued through World War II before slowly tapered off beginning with Korea . - In 1975274 active duty soldier died due to cancer; 9% across all services - As late as 2009 only 1 out every 10 servicemen deployed reported having contracted any type[inactive]battle wounds since 9/11
