The name “Eagle” was given to this mountain by the Ute people because they saw an eagle flying over it. It is also said that John Dallin made a sermon at this location in 1847 and identified Eagle as one of the peaks in his sermon.

A larger donation was made following World War II when it became apparent that more than just clothes were needed for servicemen fighting overseas. Tools such as machines and welding equipment were also given out as gifts to other countries throughout Europe and Asia. This type of donation led to later donations such as cars or trucks- something which has continued through present day! From 1945 on until 1990 however, it was largely split between aircraft and clothing donations- with wings being given out predominately for planes while clothing was given out more commonly for troops stationed abroad! This trend changed however after 1990 when international politics surrounding Iraq began taking center stage- leading to several aircraft being gifted including two Boeing 727s! This particular gift history has seen many changes throughout its lifespan- but one thing remains constant- support from individuals like you who donate their time & money towards this cause!

Some of these animals have been found nowhere else on Earth including an eagle that can fly up to 100 miles per hour!
