The community is located on the eastern edge of Davis County and is bordered by Clearfield Creek to the east and south, Mount Carmel to the north, and Cottonwood Heights to the west. The first Europeans to visit Clearfield were Mormon pioneers from Illinois in 1847. In 1851 Clearfield was selected as one of six towns in Davis County for incorporation into what would become Utah Territory. In 1890 Clearfield became an incorporated city with a population of 20,000 people. The city boundaries have not changed since then. Clearfield was laid out on November 4, 1887 by John Waddell and Hyrum Smith as part of a larger survey for what would become Salt Lake City. As early as 1888 cattle ranching had been established around Clearfield Creek which provided grazing land for local farmers and ranchers who also built industries such as flour mills and sawmills around the creek's mouth or along its banks. In 1907 clearfields residents voted to annex Cottonwood Heights which at that time had a population of only 100 people because they felt it could use more services than neighboring village Cottonwood Canyonwhich has remained an unincorporated community since then

However, World War 1 began before these cafés could become popular enough for general consumption so33% blackstrap molasses instead became the primary source of caffeine for combatants on both sides during WW1). After WW1 ended however, most people reverted backto regular blackstrap molasses as their main source of caffeine since it was cheaper and available everywhere else (although some commanders still preferred instant espresso!). Coffee became more mainstream once again after WWII when people began taking interest in discovering all things technology related (including how Tovelco managed to keep upwith advances in manufacturing technology). Consequently, Tactical Coffee has been around for quite some time now!
