The Air Force Gift History Museum in Centerville, Utah is the repository for all airforce gift history in the Centerville area. The museum was established in 1984 and has more than 25,000 items including planes, missiles, uniforms, tools and equipment. The first gift from the Air Force to Centerville was a Piper PA-18A Super Cub aircraft donated by Colonel Everett "Buzz" Aldrin. The donation was part of a military exchange program between the United States and Great Britain that took place during World War II. Over the years, other air service members have given gifts to Centerville through donations or purchase. These include fighter jets such as Lockheed F-16 Fighting Falcons and Boeing 727 passenger planes; helicopters like Sikorsky CH-4S Broncos; tents; ranches; and boats. Today, the Museum is home to an impressive collection of USAF memorabilia dating back to World War II. This includes swords awarded for bravery in combat, posters commemorating famous accidents or incidents within the USAF or officers who have played a significant role in Air Force history. There are also displays on missile deployments throughout history as well as aircraft restoration projects undertaken by local resident groups such as Cessna Aircraft Restoration Group (CARG).

Centerville, Utah is a small town located in Kane County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. Centerville is home to the Centerville Cemetery and Centerville Methodist Church. The first people to live in what is now Centerville were the Mormons who arrived in 1847 from Illinois. They built a small log cabin on the south side of the Mormon Lake. In 1849, Brigham Young and his followers set out for Salt Lake City and founded the church there that would later become The LDS Church. Centerville was platted in 1870 by J.D. Littlefield as part of an area that became known as “Little Cottonwood Valley” because of its abundance of cottonwoods trees. The town was named after General George Aiken (1813-1892), who served as governor of Utah from 1867 to 1872 and then as military commander during the American Civil War (1861- 1865). In 1906, Centerville had a population of 524 residents when it became one of fourteen townships within Kane County formed through an act of Congress called "The Territorial Omnibus Act". This act provided for organization of county government by township instead of by individual counties which had been created through annexation or subdivision by other jurisdictions since New Mexico Territory had been organized into twelve counties in 1861 under Governor James Kappelman. The townships were abolished within Kane County on January 1, 1907 when it was reorganized into sixteen districts with two commissioners per district instead of five commissioners per township. As District 2 contained all but one populated township – Centerville – this change left Centerville without representation in either house of the county legislature until 1959 when it joined with Beavercreek Township to form Beavercreek-Centerville Municipal District No 3 which has continued to represent centerville residents continuously ever since! A year earlier, on November 10th 1905,Centerville Male Wasatch Temple was dedicated at Fifields Grove southeast corner Third Street and Southcenter Avenue following $1,500 worthless donations given by fifty citizens led by John Hirst who ran for PresidentIALemental candidate against Ulysses S Grant
