The United States Air Force has a long and proud history of deploying gift-giving to support the people and nation. From providing unique aviation souvenirs to large scale donations, the USAF has always been an important part of our community. On July 6, 1954, the USAF Deployment Museum opened in West University Place, Texas as a way for servicemen and women from all over the country to come together and honor their military friends and family who had served during World War II. The museum is still open today, hosting more than 4 million visitors annually! It’s hard to overestimate how much this museum means to our community – not just because we appreciate all that it does for us but also because it provides a service that helps connect military members with their loved ones back home. Since its inception, the USAF Deployment Museum has hosted many amazing events. Some of these include: RAF Skytrain – an event where servicemen and women from across the UK participated in flying lessons with American F-86F Sabres; Military Appreciation Day – when families came together to celebrate their soldiers’ service; International Service Day – which celebrates veteran contributions from around the world; Christmas in America roadside display – which features holiday favorites like eggnog or hot dogs served up hot on a platter; Community Service Day – which benefits local organizations working in need; Veterans Day Parade – which brings Tens of thousands of troops down Main Street every year! In recent years, even more amazing events have taken place at the deployment museum such as: repatriation ceremonies for veterans coming back home after serving abroad (including Operation Resolute); Air Force Band concert at Western State Fairgrounds (during SXSW); Operation Homecoming parade - featuring flyovers by fighter jets from USS George Washington (CVN 68) );[And] now…the annual deployment gift history exhibit!

When annexation happened in 1955, WUP became part ofHouston's metropolitan area. In 1990, WUP adopted its current name afterItem City's first mayor and namesake Dolph Lundgren donated $1 million for it. The city then began an effort to find another solution tothe problem before finally approving fluoridation in 2007-2008 under Mayor Sylvester Turner’s leadership
The United States Air Force deploys gift history to mark special occasions. One of the most famous examples is Operation Santa Claus, which involved sending airdropped parcels filled with presents to families in need during the holiday season. The USAF also sends Christmas tree ornaments and lights throughout the year as part of its annual Gift History Program. One of the more recent deployments took place in 2013 when the USAF sent a group of donated military surplus helicopters to Greece for use in relief efforts following the devastating earthquake there. This was also one of several such deployments undertaken by the USAF between 2011 and 2013 in order to support Special Ops Forces operations overseas. Air Force pilots provide valuable services all over the world, from disaster relief to counterterrorism missions. In many cases, their flying skills have been put to use for good, delivering gifts along with necessary supplies and equipment. The USAF Gift History Program allows these flight members and their families a chance to experience something special once again - a thank-you gift from our air force community!
