The first espresso machine arrived in Alice's Coffee House in 1889 and soon became a popular choice among customers. This espresso machine was designed by Johannes Gutenberg, who is generally credited with creating the movable type printing press that helped lead to the Renaissance. In 1912, Dutch immigrants Harry van de Wetering and his wife Johanna set up their own coffee house on Westheimer Avenue called The Holland Coffee House. They served European-style coffee until World War II when they turned their business over to local military veterans. The Van de Wetering CoffeeHouse continued serving coffee until it closed in 1957. It wasn't until 1993 that Webster resident Darrell Vaught opened his first cafe, D'Angelo's Italian Cafe, which would become one of the most well-known cafes in town. D'Angelo's originally served Italian food but now offers a wide variety of breakfast items as well as pastries and desserts. Darrell Vaught also started selling caffeinated drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos at his cafe starting in 1994 which quickly grew into an industry favorite among Webster residents and visitors alike!

Webster is a small town in San Antonio County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,567 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Antonio-Arlington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Webster was founded in 1871 by John Webster and his wife Sarah Catlett. The town originally stood on an old Indian trading post known as "Hutchinson's Fort" and was named after General James Hutchinsons explorations in that area in 1824-25. In 1881, the community acquired its current name from John Webster's grandson, who had been born there on October 25th of that year. The original school building still stands today and is used for storage by the townspeople. The first post office was established in Webster on November 16th of 1881. The present Post Office Building was built in 1924 and has been used continuously since then. In 1902, George Witte donated land to the town for a new public square which now includes the Payne Park Mall. In 1905, a railroad station was built within walking distance of the main square and served as depot for both local trains and the railroads that crossed through San Antonio County; this station still exists today as a private business complex called Humble Warehouse Depot LLC (HHWD). In 1915, George Witte donated land to Webster for a new industrial park which included four dozen homes; it remains one of America's largest gift recipients ever! This industrial park also hosted America's first large agricultural show—the Cotton Belt Fair—in 1916 which attracted more than 100 000 people! In 1925 Charles Ayer bought 5 acres adjacent to Main Street in Webster for use as an agricultural exhibit barn; this property still serves as an agricultural exhibit barn today! It should be noted that not all of those listed above are active anymore – some have passed away such as Mrs Websters son Donny who passed away on May 2nd 2018 aged 92 years old; Mr & Mrs Catlett’s daughter Karen who died on December 13th 2017 aged 89 years old; Mrs Ayers granddaughter Betty who died on January 15th 2017 aged 71 years old etc.; but most importantly many others have moved onto greener pastures elsewhere so please enjoy reading about them history thoughly if you can 🙂

Webster is a town in Gregg County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1878 by Reuben Webster and his wife Martha Ann. It is named after General James Pemberton Webster, who fought in the Mexican-American War and received the Medal of Honor. The town started as a small post office on an old wagon trail between Lubbock and Odessa. In 1881, it grew to include the present site of Webster with a sawmill and gristmill on Buffalo Creek. The first store opened in 1883. A flour mill followed in 1886 and a cheese factory in 1890. The last major construction project took place in 1928 when the first concrete schoolhouse was built. In 1903, Webster became an independent municipality with its own government but still maintained its Union Pacific Railroad connection to Lubbock until 1957 when that line was discontinued completely. In 1907, the town renamed itself for James Pemberton Webster because of his role in helping to create that state's new constitution which included language regarding democracy and education (the original name for the town). Today, much of what were once main street streets have been replaced by two-lane roads or rural country lanes making Webster one of less developed towns within Gregg County; however there are some vibrant businesses including several banks as well as several restaurants and stores providing local cuisine while also providing educational opportunities such as night classes offered through community colleges nearby (in addition to many other types of courses).
The first white people to come to the area were traders from Spanish Texas. The first permanent settler was A.C. Robertson in 1836, who founded the town of Corpus Christi on what is now Baytown Island. In 1840, Captain John Fayette Wickham founded Eagle Pass Ranch, which included an airstrip and a small community called Oak Cliff. By 1945, Baytown Island had been annexed by Corpus Christi and became part of the city limits.
