Athens Coffee Company was founded in 1915 by John Witherspoon and his wife Gertrude Athens. They originally operated out of a small building on State Highway 183 between Warrior Boulevard and Market Street in downtown Weatherford. In 1951, they moved their business into what is now the Willis Coffee company Building on Main Street in downtown Weatherford. Weatherford coffee history can be traced back to 1884 when the first coffeehouses opened in the city. The establishments served a variety of purposes such as providing companionship and caffeine for residents during the day, as well as selling snacks and refreshments at night. In 1951, the city passed an ordinance forbidding discrimination in business practices based on race, color or national origin. This law led to increased trade between Weatherford and other cities in Texas due to its strict policy. In 1969, Weatherford became home to its first grocery store which helped spur economic development within the city. The store was one of the first in town and it quickly became a major player in town politics. It is also responsible for developing what is now known as downtown Weatherford with its many businesses and cultural attractions. Today, downtown is one of Texans' most popular tourist destinations and features a variety of restaurants and shops
Weatherford is a small town located in the county of Kerr in the state of Texas. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The first known inhabitants of Weatherford were Native Americans who hunted and fished near present day Lake Whitney. In 1836, Captain James Kenedy established a trading post here and named it after his friend and mentor, General Sam Houston. A year later, Houston was elected as the third president of the United States and moved to Austin to take up that position. He appointed Captain Kenedy as his private secretary. From then on, Weatherford became one of Houston's most influential aides and confidants. In 1845, whenCaptain Isaac Brock set out from Fort Worth with an army for what was supposed to be a punitive expedition against the Indians in central Texas, he discovered that General Sam Houston had already surrendered at Palo Alto Bridge without giving battle. Brock decided not to pursue Texans based on this information and returned home with his forces instead. Some say that this Brandon Silloway decision helped lead to Baylor University's eventual victory over Texas A&M in their annual Aggie-Longhorn football game in 1897; however no documentary evidence exists to support this claim beyond oral tradition only! In 1846, two years after Sam Houston's death while serving as Lieutenant Governor of Texas under President James Polk (the first African American U.S President), Big George Waco came across Texan cattle drive south through Lamar County on their way north into Kansas Territory according to some history books which claims Waco offered $5 per head for all cattle taken along but they refused because they were afraid they would get raided by Comanche Indians led by Black Hawk who lived along that route at that time! Anyway around 1850 or so some white men prospected near present day Telluride National Park west side about 10 miles east of today's Telluride Colorado Springs CO.. They found good oil shale there so built a refinery industry there starting about 1860s called Red River Oil Company which still operates today producing almost all crude oil production outside US including light gasoline and kerosene products! It wasn't until 1915 when WWI started making things worse for us because prices tripled causing farmers too dry up resources during those years so companies like Shell got involved buying up lots our land back then extracting natural gas etc with all these new technologies like fracking now happening I think we're going down same road again if we don't find ways to curb greenhouse gases

Coffee became an important commodity in Europe after it was discovered by Portuguese sailors in 1498. Coffee began being traded between India and Arabia in the 16th century. In 1795, Dutch traders founded a trading post at Java Point on Sumatra where they started to trade Indonesian goods such as rice, spices, diamonds and Java pepper. Dutch traders also began importing African slaves to work on their plantations. By 1800, coffee had reached England and was being sold under the name “Arabian” coffee. In 1824, John Sellwood established a forest near modern-day Seattle for growing coffee plants. After several years of trial and error, he developed what is now called the World's First Coffee Roaster - Atwater Bros.. In 1927, Harry Noyes opened his own roasting operation - Noyes & Friends - which continues to be one of America's leading roasters today!

Weatherford, Texas is a town located in southern Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. Weatherford is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. The first post office in Weatherford was established on February 14, 1875. It closed on October 15, 1915. The town began as a small settlement near the current site of Weatherford on the Llano River. A sawmill and grist mill were built there in 1876 and 1877 by J.C. Browning and Wm Hixon respectively; these mills served as the nucleus for what would become Weatherford. In 1895, James Hogue founded the Hogue Grain Mill which gave rise to the present name of JHogg's Grain Company Limited.. In 1907 Congressman John Clements purchased 2,000 acres (800 ha) northeast of Weatherford from JHogg's Grain Company Limited., forming homesteaders' row landowning company called Clements Land & Timber Co., Incorporated November 5th 1907 with James Fenton as Manager/President; this company processed lumber until 1922 when it became part of Houston Mills Corporation under McGraw-Hill Companies regional manager Ernest Sarton.. In 1927 Wm Hogg organized what would become known as Texaco who drilled oil wells in nearby Anahita while still maintaining their operations out of Weatherford; however production ceased after only three years due to high water costs associated with drilling . Oil production recommenced #1 well thru 1990 WSUS records but stopped again due to lack of supplies .. remaining development Wells at Anahita and Eagle Ford all braced for impact but no major blowup followed .. Plunged into recession by overproduction TXWEATHERFORD BUSINESS REGISTER 1996: Business listed under “Lumber” has decreased since 1995 despite record low prices because most customers are now using other products such as home cinemas etc.; data reflects continued decline in coal usage
On October 15th, 1836, Weatherford was founded by John H. Weatherford and his wife, Sally. The town was named after the nearby Mount Weatherford volcano. In 1847, the Mexican-American War began and resulted in extensive damage to property in the area. In 1865, the first post office opened in Weatherford. In 1878, a sawmill was built in Weatherford and continued operating until it burned down in 1903. The first telephone service arrived in Weatherford on February 8th, 1889. Wichita State University moved to Weatherford from Shawnee Mission National Park in 1909 and became one of its many campuses outside of Kansas City. The university has since changed its name to Texas A&M Aggie University.
