University Park is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located on the campus of Texas A&M University. Today's main campus constitutes only a tiny sliver of what once existed here; most notably Post Road bisects much of present-day University Park. In 1916 Baylor Agricultural Experiment Station became part of A&M when that university acquired Austin Agricultural College from Baylor College trustees Moses Waddell and James Crain; Baylor took over operation from ATC until 1920 when both institutions were combined into Baylor School Of Agriculture & Mechanic Arts which moved to its current location on Main Street in 1924 A&M sold off its remaining interests in Baylor School OF Agriculture & Mechanic Arts to Lubbock Christian Brothers Schools Incorporated effective September 30, 1954 however continuing operations as Lubbock Christian Brothers High School remain until today although they are no longer accredited by NCAA Division I
