The Marine Corps was first constituted as an infantry branch in 1775. In 1846, the Marines were split into two branches--the Infantry and Artillery. The Infantry Marines served until 1898 while the Artillery Marines served until 1906. In 1916, the Infantry Marines and the Coast Guard Marine Detachment were combined to form a single corps. The Corps has been triangularized with three services (Marine Forces Americas, Marine Forces Europe, and Marine Corps Pacific) since 1947. The enlisted marine force is now divided into three grades--infantry, artillery, and service-managers (SWAT). The Colony, Texas was a small town in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 681 at the 2000 census. It is now a ghost town. The Colony was founded in 1872 by John C. Garland and his brother-in-law James A. King as a small farming community on the banks of the Trinity River about two miles (3 km) southeast of present day Austin. The town quickly grew to become one of the most important cotton plantations in Texas due to its location and its access to water resources. The Garland brothers also became major landowners in the area, expanding their holdings to include some 20,000 acres (8,000 ha). The colony's main crop was cotton but it also produced corn and other vegetables for local consumption; during prohibition years, colonists exported largescale quantities of tobacco products from the plantation into Mexico City and other Latin American cities. In 1901–1902 Jock Mahoney served as acting governor of Williamson County after John Garland's death; he had been appointed by President McKinley afterGarland's widow died suddenly while traveling in Europe on business. Mahoney helped establish an agricultural extension service within the county government which would play an important role in helping rural residents improve their diets through Extension programs; this service continues today as part of the Department of Agriculture's Rural Development program. In 1915–16 William Pemberton became acting governor when Mahoney resigned because he did not want to run for office again after winning election as mayor of Austin; Pemberton then served as governor until his death in 1931. In 1948 Governor Clyde Wright appointed Leroy Bowen Jr., who had been president and CEO of Texaco since 1946, to be state superintendentof education; Bowen would later serve as lieutenant governor from 1971 until his retirement in 1989. The last resident left Colony on February 15th 1990 when all lights went out at night thanks to a power outage that followed Cutline Pipeline Inc.'s construction across town

The microscope has since become one of the most important tools in medical research and has helped doctors see inside cells and tissues much more effectively than ever before. Thanks to this tool, we now know how everything works – from our Cells! 3) A 2-meter long 3D printer: Technology has come a long way since Marine units first used 3D printers during Operation Neptune’s Spear back in 2003! Today, marines can use 3D printers both for manufacturing precision munitions directly onto rifles or boats (for example), or even create new prosthetic limbs using digital files instead of true body parts.
