Fresh roasted coffee first started arriving in Texas City, TX in the early 1990s. At that time, it was a small town located near Dallas, TX. The coffee beans were brought over by truck from nearby Illinois and exported to Texas City for roasting.
Texas City is a small town in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,788 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. The community began as a cattle ranch and farming center east of present-day Austin. In 1881, land was acquired by John Denton and others to form what would become the city of Austin. Texas City developed slowly until 1912 when it adopted a plan for rapid growth that included the construction of two miles (3 km) of streets and an airfield northeast of downtown. The airport became one of the largest in Texas during World War II when it served as an Auxiliary Air Base for the USAAF Eighth Air Force. After the war, many people moved into Texas City from surrounding rural areas which had been destroyed by fire or floods in the late 1940s and early 1950s following decisions made by then-Mayor Harry Hays to build new high school campuses on contaminated sites within Travis County rather than develop local communities. In 1990, Mayor Dan Patrick renamed Texas City "the Pecos Valley" after its main economic development partner – Pecos Petroleum Corporation – who had contributed money to his mayoral campaigns since he first ran for office in 1993. In 2003, then-Mayor Richard Green reallocated $10 million from redevelopment funds earmarked for other nearby municipalities to create jobs opportunity programs in downtown TXC and elsewhere in the city limits; this program has created over 100 jobs since its inception In response to increased competition from neighboring Austin due to suburban growth around it during the latter half of 20th century, Mayor Patricia Green reinstated restrictions on pre-fabricated housing developments that were imposed during her predecessor's time (2005–2007). This policy change led to significant increase in real estate prices near downtown while decreasing access to quality homes within walking distance of most businesses cores because many developers were bypassing TXC with plans instead for periphery neighborhoods near airports or shopping malls outside Interstate 10: these peripheral neighborhoods have seen dramatic increases in crime rates and poverty rates due to lack of affordable housing opportunities

Texas City is located in the most remote corner of Texas, just east of the Mexican border. It was founded by a group of Scots-Irish immigrants in 1848 as a small frontier town. The town rapidly grew and became an important trading center for cattle and goods entering and leaving Mexico. In 1861, Texas City was annexed by Kansas Territory, becoming part of that state. In 1938, the town was renamed Dallas after Texan actor/director Jerry Lewis. The name change made little difference to the locals who continued to call their hometown "Texas City." The townsfolk have long enjoyed a strongsense of community and pride in their home town - which has been called one of the "rusty old reds" in Texas. Today, Texas City retains its unique character as a small frontier town with rich history. The Historic District includes over 20 buildings dating back to 1848 including the Presbyterian church, schoolhouse, sheriff's office, post office and cotton gin. There are also several interesting localhistoric features such as the Longhorn Saloon where cowboy songs were once sung outdoors and the Lone Star Brewery which serves up some ofthe best beers in all of Texas!
