Fresh roasted coffee beans are originally from the Andes in South America. Coffee was first grown and roasted here on the Socorro Peninsula in 1852 by Juan Valdez, who named his farm after Socorro, a town near Santa Fe, New Mexico. The first commercially successful coffee roasting operation took place in Socorro in 1912 by E.J. Demarest and Sons of Newark, New Jersey. In 1915, two brothers from Allentown, Pennsylvania started an unsuccessful attempt to roast coffee on the peninsula too. By 1922, ownership of Demarest’s company had passed to John Gilliland of Charlevoix Township (now part of Socorro). The early morning sun shining down on fresh roasted beans is one of the most delicious experiences you can have as a coffee lover. It smells like new growth being born and nurtured; sweet cupaños with a touch of smoky bacon while still being savory thanks to the addition of salt and pepper. When I drink my favorite cupaños at home or out at a cafe I enjoy them with milk and cream but also enjoy adding some sugar or honey for those that don’t care for those flavors as much as they do for their own personal enjoyment which is what I love about fresh roasted beans!

Since the early 1800s, Socorro has been a center of coffee production in Texas. The first coffee beans were picked from the wild in this area and roasted here. Today, Socorro is home to some of the most well-known roasters in the state - including Peet's Coffee, Equal Exchange, and Blue Bottle Coffee - who continue to produce world-renowned coffees.

There are few places in the United States with a name as honored as Socorro. The town was founded by Spanish settlers in 1843, and its name is derived from the Pueblo of San Cristobal de las Casas, which was located nearby. Today, Socorro is a small but vibrant community populated largely by Hispanics. The town has a diverse economy that includes agriculture, manufacturing, and services. It also enjoys some notoriety for its annual Hispanic Fiesta festival which celebrates local culture and traditions. In addition to its rich history, Socorro offers plenty of attractions for visitors including traditional Mexican food joints, an amusement park, and a waterpark.

Fresh roasted coffee beans are a centuries old tradition in many parts of the world. The first mention of fresh roasted coffee is from the 6th century BC, when Egyptians would roast their own beans. Fresh roasted coffee was also used to make espresso and cappuccino back then. Today, fresh roasted coffee is still enjoyed all over the world. It's a popular choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. In addition to its popularity as a beverage, fresh roasted coffee is also great for making smoothies and desserts.

The first roasted coffee was ground in Damascus, Syria in 1795.

In 1845, Socorro was founded by brothers Miguel and Pedro Estevan de la Cruz. The town was named for the Spanish word socorro, meaning "help." It would be years before the name would be anglicized to its current form. In 1847, Socorro became a part of the Mexican state of Coahuila y Tejas. On July 16, 1849, Texas acquired all of Coahuila y Tejas through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. This acquisition created what is now eastern New Mexico and northwestern Arizona. With this addition to Texas, Socorro became one of its most significant cities. The earliest residents inSocorro were Native American chiefs who had come from nearby Pueblo de San Felipe to trade with the Mexicans in 1820-21. The first white person to live inSocorro was Captain John Fenton who arrived on October 20th,1846 with his family from Galveston Bayou and established himself at Rancho San Jacinto near present day Floresville. Fenton's ranch became one of the largest landowning families inTexas during its early days. By 1850 there were over fifty families residing in Socorrowhile an estimated 30% ofthe population consistedof Indian slaves By 1860 only 8 people lived inSocorro while an additional 5-10% consistingof Mission Indians worked on ranches scattered throughout central Texas

The first Spanish settlement in Socorro, Texas was founded in 1795 by Diego Rivera. The town was named after the Socorro River which flows through the area. In 1836, Mexico won its independence from Spain and the region became part of Mexican America. The town continued to grow until it had a population of over 20,000 people by 1845.In 1861, Texas seceded from Mexico and became an independent country. The town sawgrowth until it reached its peak in the late 1800s with an estimated population of over 100,000 people. However, during the early 1900s there were many changes that took place in Socorro and other parts of Mexican America as American forces began invading and conquering these regions.
