The Santa Fe Coast Guard Station was founded in 1905. The first station was located on the San Francisco coast and manned by two officers and a corporal. In 1912, the Coast Guard moved to its present location on Paseo de la Reforma in downtown Santa Fe. The original building was a single story wood frame structure with a capacity of only thirty-six people. In 1916, the Coast Guard built its first jetty which is still in use today. In 1935, a new pier was built at Paseo de la Reforma which served as the new station’s base for operations. In 1938, an Lighthouse Annex was constructed at Paseo de la Reforma to serve as the Coast Guard’s primary lighthouse facility forSanta Fe Harbor area. From 1941 until 1949, the Santa Fe Coast Guard Station operated under the command of Headquarters Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Bay Area (HNAVS-CA). HNAVS-CA became part of USCG after World War II when USN relocated their navy personnel from San Diego to Corpus Christi Bay Area to take over coastal defense responsibilities vacated by Navy Department curtailments during war years. The Headquarters Squadron (HS) changed name to Buoyage Squadron 9 in 1951 and became Commanding Officer Squadron 7 USCG in 1957 after commanding officer squadron 5 USCG transferred from Naval Base Point Mugu south of Suez Canal Zone into USS Boxer Flotilla Patrol Group Reserve Fleet Radio Service (FRSPR) commandant position within United States Shore Forces Coastal Command Reserve Fleet Radio Service organization following Korean War assignment changes effective 1 Jul 1959; HS reverted back to Buoyage Squadron 9 Maritime Rescue Coordination Group (MRCCG) 1 Sep 1963 activated ashore at SantaFe Lightstation; decommissioned 15 Jun 1974 having been inactive since 16 Apr 1966 when buildings were moved ashore from Point Mugu Naval Base Ingleside CA.) A major renovation project began on 18 Dec 2008 that included addition of an 8 storey weatherproof/ waterproof residence overlooking Paseo de la Reforma promenade complete with indoor tennis court and heated pool typical of homeported shore stations during this time period

Santa Fe, Texas is a small city in the U.S. state of New Mexico that sits on the banks of the Rio Grande on the Mexican border. The population was 5,644 at the 2010 census and 8,526 as of 2018. Santa Fe is home to one of the largest concentration of Native American people in North America and has been called "The First Indian State" because it was founded by Spanish colonists in 1540 as part of their effort to expand New Mexico into what would become Arizona and California. In 1769, José de Urrea y Arroyo began construction on what would become Santa Fe's first civic building, which still stands today—the Presidio de Santa Fe (Presidio Fortress). The fortress served as a military post until 1846 when it became an economic center due to its strategic location along trade routes between Mexico City and Austin, Texas. In 1851–1853, John Wesley Powell led an expedition through central New Mexico that explored much of what is now Colorado and Wyoming before reaching Denver by way of Arapaho Pass; during this trip, he named many Lake Powell canyonlands in southern Utah after his friend John Wesley Harding (1792-1868), who had accompanied him on the same journey twenty years earlier. In 1857–1858 José María Morelos formed a government for New Mexico out of parts of Arizona Territory that were annexed toMexico On July 6th 1860 Buena Vista Guardsmen opened fire upon civilian residents practicing their Constitutional right to assemblepeacefully under Federal law at Fort Sumner Imperial Park near present day downtown Albuquerque
The Coast Guard has been providing security and public service for the United States since 1790. In 1922, the Coast Guard became a statutory body with a separate agency, the National Security Act of 1947 defined the role of the Coast Guard in Title 8 of the United States Code. The National Security Act also created an Office of Coastal Defense which was charged with developing coastal security plans and carrying out other homeland defense activities. In 1976, Congress passed Executive Order 9027 establishing a coast guard gift history as part of Homeland Security. This order instructed all Federal agencies to establish policies on gifts to members of the Coast Guard and their families. The first policy note from DHS stated that “Gift giving is an important part of good government and should be honored by all Federal entities” (DHSPolicyNo2-1976). Gifts continue to play an important role in Coast Guard life today and are often used as fundraiser or donation drives for special events or functions such as unit reunions or port visits. Today, there are many different types of gifts that can be gifted to members of the Coast Guard including: personal items such as clothing, appliances, cars, boats or travel trailers; equipment such as helicopters or fishing gear; or unique items like artifacts from shipwrecks or antique firearms. Many agencies now have charitable giving programs where individuals can donate goods directly to local organizations instead of through traditional fundraising methods. Since 1978 when Executive Order 9027 was issued, it has been illegal for any Federal agency to provide financial assistance in exchange for goods donated by members of the Coast Guard (i.e., accepting gratuity). This policy continues to apply today because it prohibits any form of bribery in connection with gift Giving within Federal agencies. As a result, many talented individuals who would otherwise donate their skills and time to help protect our country are instead restrained from doing so because they may face criminal prosecution if they attempt to hand over cash in lieu of something valuable like jewelry or electronics

The town of Santa Fe, Texas was founded in 1836 by the brothers Gideon and Solomon Pratt. The two were traveling missionaries who were looking for a new home to establish as a Christian community. They traveled through New Mexico and found an area that would be perfect for their goal: theSanta Fe Trail led from east to west across the United States. The Pratt brothers built a log cabin on what is now known as Delaware Street in Santa Fe and started conducting religious services there. In 1840, they moved their mission to what is now downtown Santa Fe and began trading goods with settlers in the region. In 1846, Gideon Pratt died suddenly while leading his church into battle against Apache raiders; his brotherSolomon took over leadership of the community and soon opened up new trade routes with Mexican traders. By 1850, Santa Fe had become one of the largest settlements in New Mexico and it had also become a major center for commerce in Texas. During this time, many local leaders developed close relationships with both President James Kenedy (1845-48) of Texas and First Lady Lucy Mace (1847-51). These important political connections helped spur economic development within SantaFe during its early years as well as create important social ties between residents. In 1860, after voting unanimously to annex neighboring Webb County into Texas, SantaFe became one of the first counties in Texas to declare itself independent from Mexico. At this time, it also became one of the most prosperous communities in all of SouthwestTexas due to its position at the crossroads of several major wagon trails linking eastward via New Mexico and westward via Zacatecas Territory before ending at San Antonio de Bexar County on the southern border of today’sTX.— p105
In 1847, the first post office in Santa Fe was established. The town's name was changed to Santa Fe in 1868. Santa Fe became a county seat in 1912 and an incorporated city in 1924. The current City of SantaFe was formed on November 2, 2010 from the merger of the former cities of Albuquerque and Roswell.
