This is a history lesson on the gift that was given to man in Saginaw, Texas. In 1881, a group of men from Saginaw founded the city and land here became one of the most important cities in America. The men donated land and money to help build schools, churches, hospitals and other important institutions. They also built homes for themselves and their families. The city has grown over time and now enjoys a diverse population that includes many people from around the world.
Saginaw is a city in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 953 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Midland County and it lies on the Saginaw River. The first white settlers in what is now Midland County were some of the earliest to come to Texas and founded what is today Saginaw in 1836. At that time, there was no river hereabouts—the Saginaw was located about 20 miles (32 km) northeast of present-day Midland City. However, when steamboats started running down the Arkansas River from Wichita Falls (later Wichita, Kansas) in 1855–56, traders along the Arkansas realized that if they could get goods downriver to Fort Worth and other trading points before those parts froze over, they would be able to sell their merchandise more efficiently and earn a higher price for their products than if they had to transport their goodszzo further northward across this frozen continent. So early on, traders began building boats along both sides of the Saginaw River—one upriver and one downstream—and shipping their goods downriver all winter long! In 1858 John Witherspoon established himself as a trader at Eudora on what is now Ulysses Creek just downstream from where current day Midland City stands today. By 1860 his business had developed into something quite significant; by 1870 he’d become one of only two commercial men capable of handling freight on both banks of the river between Wichita Falls and Fort Worth (the other being Mexican interests). By 1872 Witherspoon had built an impressive brick warehouse near downtown Saginaw which still stands extant today as “Witherspoon”s Warehouse & Emporium – home Of The Red Wing Bonanza Company. In 1873 James Fenton opened up an unsuccessful grocery store called The Fenton Store opposite Witherspoon’s Warehouse & Emporium but within a few years he too became successful with his own grocery store/market named The Mercantile Exchange Place which stood until its demolition in 1906! In 1886 Isaac Newton Briggs founded Briggs Manufacturing Co., one of America’s leading manufacturersto produce bicycles with Hubbards patent design (pictured below)—beginning what would eventually become known as Bicycle manufacturing legend Briggs Motors Corporation! During World War I Briggs produced munitions for USA's military allies such as Great Britain and Canada; however due to wartime production quotas he stopped production after hostilities ended in 1918] In 1927 JG Revell Inc., predecessor companyof Doll Parts fame incorporated with Revell Motorcycles Ltd.; becomingAmerica’s first major motorcycle manufacturer] In 1957 Chevrolet became America's first automakerayor assembly line operations

Saginaw is a city in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 21,636 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Midland County. Saginaw is located on the east bank of the Kiamichi River, about midway between Wichita Falls and Fort Worth. The city's first settlement was made in 1867 by General John Fetterman and his men during their exploration of what would become Midland County. In 1870 Saginaw became part of Dallas County when it was organized from portions of Texas Rangers District 2 under General Price's command. The town site was selected by Fetterman and his men after they surveyed the area for a new home for themselves and their families. By 1871, Saginaw had grown to include a courthouse, jail, schools, post office (1872), grocery store (1873), sawmill (1875), goods depot (1876), blacksmith shop (1877) and other businesses. In 1887 Saginaw became an independent municipality when it separated from Dallas County to form its own government with a mayor and six-member board of commissioners. The incorporation date for Saginaw is unknown but it likely occurred before 1888 because that year Dallas County officials moved from Anson to downtown Saginaw to complete annexation into Dallas County proper later that year without giving notice to residents or allowing them an opportunity to vote on annexation. In 1907 the City Council voted not to annex onto Ft Worth due to concerns over traffic congestion which would have resulted if both cities were combined into one town square like many other Texas towns during this period! In 1916 Mayor George Hildebrandt petitioned Governor Willis Waddell for cityhood status which was granted on December 12th following a hearing before the State Board of Education chaired by Judge Arthur Aiken as well as public opinion surveys conducted by local newspapers throughout Texas showing overwhelming support for cityhood among citizens! On February 3rd 1917 voters in municipal elections across all TX counties cast ballots approving incorporation into Houston metropolitan area! As Houston grew rapidly becoming one of Americas most populous cities at that time City Hall quickly relocated to 610 Main Street where it currently stands today!
