During its tenure as NAVY Station Austin, Squadron Vindicator (later squadron V-22) conducted many training exercises for Marines and sailors alike In 1979 Commodore Harry Pohl donated his entire WWII submarine fleet - 5 submarines - to NAVY Museum at Pearl Harbor Hawaii; these boats are now moored outside NAS Houston in NRG Park Marina!
